They don't "Sometimes" sing in English They :Always" sing in English thanks to Asamis English
Seen them last week in London, a lot smaller than this so it felt a bit more intimate, I was not at the front, but about 5 or 6 rows back which was an OK spot to be. They sound as good live as they do on video, only better because the atmosphere they give the room is fantastic. I'd recommend you re watch after you react, when you watch straight through they will sound even better 🤘🎸🎤🎹🥁🐺🇬🇧

A 14-solo shredfest ! Asami (lead vocalist) has a broad and powerful mezzo-soprano range, and she has extremely good diaphragm & breath control. She doesn't "scream" but belts when necessary.
some people catch midori's little stumble with asami - others don't. but hardly anyone ever mentions how she just smiles the whole thing off and never misses a note. professional musician at her finest. taylor swift playing to 100 thousand ? shows you how clueless a lot of americans are to music. LOVEBITES deserves much bigger crowds. but the lucky ones will see them on their current tour in smaller venues up close and personal as opposed to some speck on a stage 1/4 of a mile away.
and that Midori is in high heels!
I saw them in Milano the 19-06-2024 with others 300 people of WP and was one experience that i suggest to all the music's lovers, not only metal!

They just played the first leg of their 2024 world tour playing festivals and club dates across Europe.
I managed to see them at The Garage in London exactly a week ago.
It was raw and in our faces and absolutely fantastic. There are a few fan cam videos posted here on CZcams that are well worth checking out. They really are so good live.
They ALWAYS sing in English. The lone exception is the original debut EP version of "Bravehearted," which was re-recorded in English for the debut full album.
This live music venue, which closed in September 2020, was a medium-sized facility with a combined capacity of approximately 1,300 people on the first and second floors.Of course, this venue was packed on the day of the event.

Welcome to Lovebites, the Wolfpack, Lovebites fans around the world will be along to give you information and recommendations.
Lovebites are a Japanese metal band, formed in 2016 by Miho, Bass, and Haruna, Drums, who are former members of Destrose, a band that broke up in 2015. They take much of their influence from the 1970's and 80's British and European bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica. Miho left the band in 2021 for personal reasons.
The current members are,
Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained in Ballet Dancing and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. She writes many of the lyrics and sings in English, not easy for a native Japanese speaker.
Midori, Guitar. The blond 'Amazon Warrior' who is also a body builder.
Miyako, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards. the 'serious' one with long black hair. She is a classically trained pianist who writes much of the music, often incorporating classical themes into her compositions..
Both Guitarists play lead, swapping lead and rhythm as required. They play amazingly good harmonised dual solos.
Fami, Bass. The 'new girl', recruited as replacement for Miho in late 2022 when she was 20 years old and still at university, playing her first live show with the band in March 2023. She has her own YT channel that has nearly 700,000 subs. Check out her 'Alien Alien' Slap Bass cover from when she was about 16.
Haruna, Drums. The 'Little BIG Engine'. a tiny lady, 1.45 meters tall, who is the power house that drives the band. I saw Lovebites live in London recently, and watched Haruna in awe. She plays fast and precisely throughout concerts that can be up to near 2 hours long.

The ladies really shine on stage. I have been to London twice recently to see them during their just concluded European tour, and am so glad I did. This performance has always been, and always will be, one of my absolute favorites from 'The White Wolves'.
It's the bass & drum lines under all those solo's that do it for me, as much as the solo's themselves.
So many people miss Midori's little stumble. well spotted. But I also love Asami's little giggle, while still singing, when she turns around & sees Midori still hopping.
The only song they sang in Japanese was The Lovebites EP version of Harunas Bravehearted which when all 4 songs got added to Awakening from the Abyss 1st full album Asami translated the Awakened version of Bravehearted to English
A new EP and also a Blu-ray will be released on August 28.
„LOVEBITES EP II“ will also contain a re-recording of the debut „LOVEBITES EP“ in a limited edition
„Memorial of the Warrior Souls“ is the recording of last years paid livestream which features 7 live versions from „Judgement Day“ album including „Soldier stands solitarily“
When you said "this is sick" when M&M did the first solo tradeoff, I laughed, thinking that at that moment, I knew you had no clue what was coming.

At least in Japan the sound quality is very good even in smaller venues... Lovebites always tour the same mid-size venues because of their excellent acoustics (like the Zepps or Tokyo Garden Hall). Live sound engineering in Japan has a long rep for quality, some live recordings are legendary (like Casiopea's Mint Jams).
Asami always ask the crowd to add their share of decibels during choruses, and raise hell they do (especially if you're a "Lovebites Inc. Employee", one of their official fans. They're granted the audience front and they're kinda the Spartan Royal Guard of Lovebites).
Dunno if they feel more pressure playing in Japan, but their concerts are good enough for live recording... the energy, the expectation and the delivery are a bit different from overseas legs. The fans and the band get very emotional, it's quite a cathartic experience.🤘🐺🤘
