It was the best collaboration of fire trucks and water features! We had 8 trucks show up :) The local fire department used it as a training exercise too so it was a win win!

This is a Las Vegas level backyard. During the day, all play for the kids and families. At night with the lights, some good food and drinks with a fire going!!!! Amazing!!!!!

Shut the front door!!!!! What!!!!!! Omg the urn is my favorite! I love that cobalt blue one he was showing. Cobalt blue is my favorite color. 😁 Omg! How cool is that! Wow ....yes an artist! I love his swim pond ...and I must admit I got a little teary when he was talking about his momma. 😢😢😢😢 I miss my momma so much😢😢😢😢 I think it is a wonderful thing when men do all they can to show their mom's how much they care. That is special!!! My goodness he did a wonderful job. The splash pad....I want to build one for my youngest grandson...My daughter and I have been talking about a splash pad for the grandson because he is like me and my daughter, complete water lover. So beautiful. That beach is on point. We would also like to do beach but nervous about mucking the water. We will see!
It really doesn't muck the water. It stays pretty well put. But, we did use beach sand not fill sand.

@@surfcurry It's very fine dune sand. It actually came from the hole we dug. Our home is next to Lake Charlevoix and our yard is just a big dune.

This pond is 35x30. It's then connected to a 10' stream and an 11x16 pond.

Landscaping is the highest return on your investment since it matures with age. Ponds have more universal usage than pools

Would love a small pond at my house but water is just too expensive out here in SoCal.
Have you considered a pondless system? They use less water and can be easily turned on and off when needed so you have less evaporation.
So do people who have their own little makeshift ponds get a lot of mosquitos? Or do you just have ways to combat them?
Get fish, they eat mosquitoes.
I've always been leery about swimming in a pond which can harbor bacterias that if they get in a cut on your body can cause MRSA infections which can be deadly.
No different than a pool. Test the water like you would a pool. We add enzymes and beneficial bacteria often to keep the water column healthy and safe.
@@waterpaw3828 It's VERY different than a pool. Pools don't have fish poop and bird poop (and possibly other animal waste) along with all kinds of nature's microbes, amoeba's etc. What makes you think it's no different thna a pool which is sanitized with chlorine???
