Dick Wolf had no clue what Vice was. Enjoying re-watching this series and then getting your take Morgan. To be honest I can never make it past season three
Yeah -- I have a very difficult time with season three, when Wolf first came on board. I think it eventually leveled out, but it never again reached the peaks of seasons one and two.
What holds this episode together is the especially evocative music by Jan Hammer, the Mike and The Mechanics song, the better than average gratuitous bombing, the very good turn by Tommy Koenig as a psychopath, and an interesting supporting cast including the "pretty one" from "Dirty Dancing". Now that I think of it, Morgan grossly under-rated this one.
You do bring up some good points. I did hope at the end that the adoptive parents were at least grateful enough to let the biological mom visit sometimes. After seeing your review, on the other hand, the adoptive parents seem a bit selfish and desperate, though. Yes, Baby Blues does rely on sentiment, but I guess that's why I thought it was entertaining enough. Plus, the season survived any low points.
I thought this was a good episode. I remember seeing it and being sad for the biological mother at the end. I would have given it at least 3 flamingos.
To be honest, the ending of this episode got me, the music, the sadness.... couldnt hold it back Q.Q

This is one of the best MV episodes ever made!
seriously?
i'm assuming one of your family members played one of the roles or wrote this episode lol
Congratulations, you just made an ass out of you and me. Assuming is never a good idea.
Have you ever watched season 1 or 2?
I thought it was good until the dumb ending.
two flamingos is very generous for this POS episode

The ending ruined it for me. No way she would just leave her kid.
This was a forgettable episode. Nothing exciting. Slow moving. Bad acting.
