Are you serious? How can Taylor beat Katy in persona? Katy is down to earth, really funny and she has worked many times with UNICEF to help people who need it, however Taylor is always bashing other celebrities. And all of her country awards are lame, she won because she never had competition. P.S. Meh, past discretions on the part of Taylor Swift doesn't allow me to like her as a person. Don't like her as a singer either as I think all her songs are virtually about the same thing, and kinda sound similar; plus I just don't like her voice. That's niether here nor there though; as I meant I don't like Taylor as a person. Why would I; why would anyone tbh? She's clearly sexist, or at least uses men, is a documented liar (maybe even pathological), has some psychotic tendencies (not many but they're there), is controlling and obsessive I have heard; and at the end of the day maybe she's gotten better but she used to be a bitch. I try not to compare singers like this because every true artist has their own unique style that can't be exactly matched. She has soooo many songs, even albums that remain unreleased, because she was rejected so much like Lady Gaga. It wasn't until 2008, that she finally made it and after such a long time, there was no doubt that she would be a topstar from the beginning.
I don't really know about Taylor, but there were rumours she had financial help from her family, that helped her to grow, which is kinda like "buying yourself a career". That's why it took Taylor long to have top songs in her chart history.
