Surprising argument from American Airlines in hidden bathroom camera case

  • In response to a civil lawsuit filed by one of the victims in this case, attorneys for American Airlines say the airline shouldn't be held civilly liable because the harm to the child was "caused by Plaintiff's own fault and negligence..." and "...caused by Plaintiff's use of the compromised lavatory, which she knew or should have known contained a visible and illuminated recording device."

    You don’t know it’s a phone until you stand up and turn around and get closer to the tape and see the phone and the light ! I know .

    It doesn't make sense to sue the airline for damages unless the airline knew about the issue but didn't do anything to protect its passengers.

    I agree. If you see a phone with the light on, in a toilet seat don’t use it.

      People need to stop blaming a 9 year old for using the restroom. An adult wouldn't think that there's a camera in there either.

    The only time i have used a airplane bathroom they could have recorded me on 40 camera's and i might never know. A person could think the light is to ensure the bottom gets to the right place. American Airlines blames the victims...
