Definitely agree on the falcon, i couldn’t figure out how to make a half decent rig that wouldn’t be like too hard to erase from the frame. Thanks for the compliments tho
This is incredible, its so wicked to see stop motioners use their custom characters in fights. Motion of the fighting was gold, got me fired up to practice more.
Love all the action Damn! so for the punches (I've seen a bit of your work on the SMC) you kind of just telegraph the punch then on the second to last frame you flick shot it to streak blur the frame and then follow the action through last frame right? the weight of the punches and the creativity such as the halo 4 armor shield, and th knife throw into the shoulder were really great!
So yeah that is an accurate description of my cqc style, although I’ve moved away from the camera blur for the impact, and transitioned to raising the camera like not even a full millimeter higher and using a weak flashlight to show the shield reacting. And for the quick fights I usually give them 1-2 frames to telegraph their next move so the viewer can more easily understand it. Also Tysm for the compliments, you’re one of my stop motion idols lmao🙏🙏
damn theres something about the choreography of your CQC thats so appealing to me. it looks so scrappy and desperate. its quite creative in a strangely unscripted way. did you just come up with it on the fly or? youve some great spartan designs and customs, the use of AI is really good. i could tell it was but that's not really the point - i think knowing it was, was much better than how unsettling it wouldve felt thinking it wasnt. been hoping more animators would use it for Chief or just random VAing if they cant find real people.
Glad you noticed the Holland ai. Spent an hour or so editing it to get it as close as I could without it becoming something costly. And I’m glad you enjoyed the cqc. Been working an insane amount on that lately.

I've seen other animators use siri-like voices and it just takes me out of the story, so you did great to keep it going. and I loved the cqc. again I can't really put a nail on what it is about it that makes me enjoy it so much, but you've got your style and keep going with it! I've subbed and I look forward to your future work. (have to put a small disclaimer, I am very drunk typing this, so any backhanded insults or whatever, I mean well.)

How do you animate the falcon landing?
Just had the camera angles where the very top of the falcon was out of view. I was holding it up with my hand
