- The Poly Tunnel has suffered this winter under the weight of the snow so we need to get it back in shape and strengthen it to cope with the snow at winter time.

BRILLIANT TEAMWORK,
Thanks for watching, glad you liked the video
Oh! I felt so sorry for you after all your hard work, but thanks for giving me a good laugh too !!😂 Best of luck with future projects mate 👍👍👍
Thank you! 😃
Snow did quit the number on your green house. I'm glad nothing broke.
Cheers bud, It was getting the slush out that was the hardest part.
All sorted before it rained later.
Cheers
Martin
Sweet house! You handle that well I would have been less calm about that... haha
Well saved Martin.....resourceful and resilient as ever...happy new year to you all..
Thanks Michael, we got there in the end. All the best.
Cheers
Martin
Things sent to test us and all that... tree down and poly tunnel difficulties all taken in your stride. Have a good new years fella. See you in the new year.
Yeah, at least it gives me something to film lol.
All the best for the new year and good luck with your projects.
Cheers
Martin
If it's any consolation to you...on the same day two years ago I had to rod my septic tank after it backed up. It certainly put any happy, Christmassy, thoughts out of my head. You both did a good job there because that was an awkward one.
Best Wishes, Brendan.
Thank god it was just a bit of snow, I bet you weren't in the mood for that job. It was awkward as it had started to rain and it was turning to slush. We got there in the end though.
Cheers
Martin
Oh , Major damage with that storm Martin .. Looks like it is getting sorted though .. Thumbs up man !!
Cheers Shawn, I think I saved it just in time. Happy new year.
Cheers
Martin
HAPPY NEW YEAR !!
All the best Shawn to you and your family.
Cheers
Martin
Good, quick repair job. Glad you got it sorted so quickly. It's just started snowing here in Germany. Good thing we didn't buy that poly tunnel we were planning on getting this year! LoL Thanks Martin. Hope you have a good new year.
Cheers Bruce. i'll have to add more supports as the snow highlighted this weakness.
Happy new year to you as well.
Cheers
Martin
Oh my Martin lol not a good nite then!
At lest it's not ripped open
All the best bud
Micheal
Cheers Mike,
Sorted for now. Will make it better in the spring.
Cheers
Martin
Good job we don't get bad snowfalls often really, probably need to get some sort of triangulation in there somehow. Just watched your xmas day vid too, glad you all had a great xmas, all the best for the new year to you and the family, I've really enjoyed your vids this year and looking forward to more of the same.
Cheers Terry, Hope all is well with you. All the best for the coming year.
Regards
Martin
At least no one was hurt. Please Martin don't walk under the broken branch.
Cheers Tim. it will soon be providing warmth in our fireplace. Happy new year Tim.
Cheers
Martin
Sorry about your tunnel Martin, not what you need after Christmas.
PS Have a happy new year
Yes' I didn't expect that but at least I got some fire wood out of the fallen tree.
Cheers
Martin
hi get some 12 foot or 14 foot old trampolines. and make a Polytunnel .and put scaffolding poles at each side to make it 3feet high. one trampoline makes 2 hoops
Interesting idea Sid, I can't picture it though. Cheers
Martin
retrorestore I made one.
used the the bit u bounce on to go round the sides to let air in.
I will send you a pic when I next go up
If you have a pond pump. Put it in the middle and drain it then pop it up.
It's sorted now Matthew. Thanks for the idea.
Cheers
Martin
You're welcome mate.
The same thing happened to our polytunnel last winter and not far from us a commercially built tunnel on a farm also collapsed and it must have cost thousands to construct.
Keep up the hard work Martin hope u had a great Xmas
Cheers bud, It was great until today.
Years later, vids still useful.
Essex right?
SW London bud
@@retrorestore Bloody hell, not far from me then.
Loving the vids.
Shame about the polly tunnel but it can be sorted all the best m8 atb Gordon oh weve had no snow in northumberland just -4
Thanks Gordon. It's turned to rain now so I was glad I sorted it when I did.
Cheers
Martin
Now you''ve just got to remove that tree!
Yes Millie, i'll get the chainsaw to it soon.
Happy new year.
Cheers
Martin
Not good that Martin , but you managed to save it. And the branch bit of luck not getting your windows .
Maybe if you double the amount of hoops it will stop it happening again.
Regards Pete.
I think I'm going to leave the supports in till spring and maybe add a more permanent system later.
Cheers
Martin
Oh no what a bugger, bloomin snow, causes havoc.
Your not wrong there Scott. I'll sort it though. All the best for the new year.
Cheers
Martin
What an ordeal, getting the 3x more expensive tunnel and bracing with sturdy stuff.
Goodness me, what a mess!
I think I saved it Millie. All the best for the new year.
Cheers
Martin
What a shame, I wouldn't have fixed it, more like just rip it down and build a new one, I'm lazy like that lol. Looks like in the future when it snows, you'll have to go out there every hour or so with a brush and tap it from the inside to knock it off or something :)
I think I'll incorporate those supports as well into the design. All the best for next year.
Cheers
Martin
ahh that bites a bit mate but i guess it could have been worse and nothing seems to be past repair there
I'll think it will be ok with the temp supports in and i'll sort it out in the spring.
Cheers
Martin
yes i would think so fella and it sure better to be out there working in the spring than in the winter months
Shame about the tree and the tunnel Martin.
I'll sort it Tush. All the best for the new year.
Cheers
Martin
You ruined a perfectly good watering system for your plants...lol. Glad you were able to sort it out before it rained.
Yes, it rained later Ken so lucky we acted when we did. All the best.
Cheers
Martin
