PLOT: Average Joe's Gym and its owner, Peter La Fleur (Vince Vaughn), are both down on their luck. A fancy competing gym called Globo-Gym, run by the maniacal health nut White Goodman (Ben Stiller), is about to put Average Joe's out of business unless Peter can raise $50,000 to keep his mortgage. To save the gym, Peter and a ragtag group of Average Joe's members and employees enter a dodgeball contest with a big cash prize. In response, White forms his own Globo-Gym team to rout the competition.

Don't know why my parents let me watch this film(granted it was the tv version not the unrated version) on my 6th birthday. Every year I watch this film because its just awesome.
In many Ben Stiller films he looks and acts the same way. Dodgeball is the ultimate exception and easily his best performance.
Ben Stiller is one of those few comedic actors that do not need to do anything to make people laugh. He is just funny.
Especially in Meet The Floccers
this film is a masterpiece of comedy imho.

Every now and then I remember Dodgeball and come back to it and laugh my ass off like it's the first time again, so funny.

The "milkshake" bit at the end was Ben Stiller trolling the execs who made him change the ending where Globo Gym actually did win the tournament, but they said they wanted a more happy ending. "See that's the problem with American cinema. Don't make me think! I just wanna be entertained! You happy? FATTY MAKE A FUNNY?!"
Vaughn was a good straight man not just to Stiller but to the rest of his team.
As a kid I rented this movie on DVD(from blockbuster). And I remember the alternate ending was the purple cobras winning. The movie immediately went to the ending credits. It was kind of depressing lol. I’m happy they kept it hollywoods with this film.
