@Lego Head Look at the Stand or the Green Mile or Shawshank Redemption or Stand by me those are good movies were people say you can't go wrong with a good Stephen King story. Some of his stories that have made into a movie have done very well while some have become a complete flop. It all depends on what the screen adaptations you are referring to as to reflect on. Case in point Stand by me is always a great movie to reflect on and it's the same with the green mile and Shawshank Redemption. His best performance however is my personal favorite in Creepshow. I mean come on it's Stephen King at his funniest performanc ever LOL.

Watched Annabelle 3 and Crawl. Both ok for me. Still nothing groundbreaking. Best Croc movie for me is still Rogue and Black Water.

I definitely have really high expeditions for Midsommar. Hereditary took all the elements that make for good horror and amped them all up to 100. The eeriness, the psychological horror, the brutality and gore. It didn’t water anything down, and I’m really hoping Midsommar is the same
I saw it yesterday and it's absolutely brilliant, but not really scary- more so unnerving, so I wouldn't go in expecting that.

Imma be honest i had heard so many things about the shining and when i finally saw it....it was not all that...but thats just me.
Opinions are like asshole...everybody has one lol I thought that too the 1st time I watched it...but I watched it a few more times and now I have grown to love it!!!
Its a psychological horror. Just watching it isnt enough. A thought about it is scary.
The time in when movies come out are different to when u watch the same movies years after.....at the time it came out it was wayyyy scarier same thing with jaws watching it then n now big difference
@@gimmeemknees7967 It's really not psychological at all. You know there's ghosts for real because Danny's POV is there, and not only Jack's, so there's nothing psychological about it. It's just the your average "supernatural things are messing with us" movie, albeit a pretty good one.

I Like how "Crawl" is coming out right after the escape of the largest captive alligator in the US. It checked out of its enclosure during the Imelda flood in Texas, lucky for us 14 foot and 1 ton Big-Tex was recaptured after a short vacation.

I use to read scary stories when I was a kid. I remember how addictive the books were. You knew they never end well but the writing is so well you just can't close the book.
The mark of a good story is the fact that no matter what else is going on you just can't close the damn book. A nuclear weapon could go off and if the book is that good you will say " I ain't going to the cellar until I finish this chapter."

lmao, I live in Australia and this would not be uncommon tbh with the Townsville floods and all. I've seen saltwater crocs swimming down rivers when it floods so if they changed the location to Australia it would be pretty accurate.
