George Hamilton NA-F1000 Championship at Mid Ohio

After a long hiatus from racing, I returned to Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course in Lexington, Ohio this weekend to participate in the North American F1000 championship. This was not only my first time racing since high school, but also my first time in this car (which is immensely different from my Formula Ford). I had an awesome time racing this weekend, and finished with a 4th place on Saturday and a 3rd place on Sunday.

The JDR F1000 was an incredible car to drive. I haven't ever experienced the type of aerodynamic downforce it creates before. Through high-speed corners it was a battle between my mind and my right foot, the car can handle a lot more than you think. F1000 is an incredible series, and I was very lucky to participate in it.
