Hey Frost, this was fantastic. Id consider myself an average PvP player but I'd much rather watch you coach and guide struggling players than see you carry them flawless etc. Great format, I hope you do more of it.
I’d say he coaches and takes them flawless. It’d be cool to see him only play support til his trainee dies then step in and assist. It’d be a cool way to differentiate his flawless Carrie’s from other carry channels. He could even make a vid where 2 former carries carry him
1000% This was extremely valuable. A key learning for me was understanding the weaknesses of various loadouts. As mentioned at the end, LeMonarque QD HC is super toxic and hard to combat (especially if they are playing with 2 aggressive players). Potentially doing specific videos on how you exploit those individual loadouts would be another awesome content piece. Or series of pieces (since metas change every season usually). Thanks Frostbolt, this was great. Love your content.
@@ziolan8970 If he did that, he'd be in a 2 v 3 or worse most of the time. They'd never get anywhere. And it would be hard for someone like him to play support when they've been the wolf this whole time.
@@URSoDead2Me true, but that's what would make it interesting to watch.
Carry culture is bad it's the reason people can't get better or feel hopeless I had a 0.67 kd and now have 1.18 I was new to destiny and just played mindlessly I try my best being on ps4 while playing against next gen...so I can't be the best I can be being on last gen I keep hearing it's a completely different experience. I go back and forth with pvp and pve I don't do private matches but I see why people do them because you play against good players then again both PC and console has cheaters u just never know. But that's just destiny pvp it won't change. But yeah Carries hold people back to be the best they can be they think because they are being carried that they can't get better but you can..
"You can try to kill me, use what you've got"
*Blade barrages*
That was funny af
I was about to post this, that was hilarious 😂
… like this? 💥🔥🔥🔥🔥😏
“You can try and kill me” gets immediately deleted.
Lmao 🤣
Frost's sheepish "That was technically correct" smile was golden XD
Hiii!! I’m dragondusk22, thanks for all the tips!! They’ve really helped me find a different outlook in pvp. Appreciate all the help 🐉❤️
1v1 me brah
You were great. You could destroy me, because I suck in PvP. However, I can claim an excuse because I'm 45 and stupid. 😁 (I also have MS, but I don't know if that has a bearing yet.)
@@irosencrantz882 thank you! I’m sure you’re great at the game anyways! Don’t be so hard on yourself 💙
@@Katie-hv4wk that was fun to watch :) keep it up friend
Frost gave lots if great tips! My tip is to train one of those at a time. For example, this game my focus is on placing my throwing knives just right. Next game my focus is using cover. And have the mind set to just having fun first. Like placing the throwing knifes might make you stand in the open and you die. But if ju have the mind set of just having fun first, you can keep improving without getting tilted. Then when you see improvment, try to make it a winning play. It's usualy to hard to improve all points at the same time. Good luck!
This is a great video for us PVE players that want to get in to PVP. Cheers Frost
I’m glad I can be of help, thanks man!
You should take them flawless with you next week to show progress, that would be a great "I went flawless with my student" video!
Learning how to read the radar was a turning point for me. Learning how to read the different quadrants and identify if a player is above/below me and also understanding the distances for primary or special weapon engagements just by interpreting the radar. Once I learned that I was able to reverse engineer that knowledge and start manipulating my opponents radar so I could draw them out or cause them to push with the wrong weapon ready
Truly enjoyed watching this live. Fantastic work.
Glad you enjoyed bro! And thanks for tuning in!!
Liked the video just based on the idea and title. Love to see big names continuing to help the small fish in the pond! You're awesome sir!
I’m glad you enjoyed bro!
Also try to recognize point of no return in every gunfight. Point of no return is basically the point that inevitably always exists in every gunfight where no matter what, nothing will get you out of there alive. Scenario: You and another player are in a gunfight and you both get each other to one shot, but then all of a sudden you see that he has a teammate that enters the fight to defend his one shot teammate. You have 2 choices: Either you stay in the gunfight to try and finish the guy who's one shot (and still likely die to the teammate), or you can ditch the gunfight entirely and risk dying to both people. Your fight or flight response will determine the outcome of the gunfight, and thus either cause you to win or lose certain gunfights. I've taught so many different people over the time I've played this game (and other shooters obviously) and a handful have actually gotten better than me because of their ability to recognize that same point of no return, or in other cases a lack thereof.
Ive done this already but seeing someone explain this tip out loud cemented it more in my head to keep doing it. Thanks
Yeah, good point. I feel a lot of the time you get told to disengage in these situations which 99.9% of the time will get you killed as well imo.
Despite a lot of people telling me to "just run" I started going for the trade when I get into one of these "oh shit" situations. Funnily enough I feel it not only gives me a trade at least 80% of the time but I survive more often than if I just tried to turn and run.
A lot of players seem flabbergasted by an aggressive push while you're low hp and then panic when the other player dies.
Dude. Honestly, you're such a beacon of positive. Always out here helping others. I remember the 1st time I played you, then got you on my team. I didn't even know you were a content creator. It's been amazing watching you grow as a content creator, guardian and human.
As someone who has only really just started playing the game in the past 6-7 months and did their first trials weekend this weekend, I got bodied. This is a massive help to watch a pro explaining things in general terms rather than being specific to the class they're tutoring. Thanks you for this Frost, I appreciate it alot.
Great format. Would love to see this made into a series. Perhaps different tiers of players to help elevate guardians from one skill level to another.
Everybody now wants a coaching session from you😅great stuff👍
Haha yeah, glad you enjoyed bro!
This is seriously amazing content and not just for the person being coached. I have been playing shooters for decades and honestly hearing the fundamentals spelled out like this reminds me of a lot of things I have gotten lazy on and it is always nice to have the tune up.
Frostbolt - “You can try to kill me”
She - “Blade barrage”😎
Doing these on mayhem may develop bad habits of excessively using abilities when in any other mode you'd have them on cooldown.
I'd also emphasize improving armor and stats, and using D2ArmorPicker. The lass' armor had like 35-40 wasted stats!!
Yeah forsure man, there’s some things that still need to be ironed out as this is a new thing for me, but thanks for the insight! Much appreciated
This is a very valid comment. The only thing I'd say regarding using Mayhem is that if they're looking to practice specific scenarios multiple times, it could be too slow waiting for ability regen each time. Definitely worth making a point regarding no spam though to avoid developing had tendencies
Honestly an interesting direction for your content. Respect for going into this type of video as generally speaking, longer videos don’t get as many views. Your community is gonna start slaying out in every trials now haha
I had to come back and edit this after finishing the whole video. Really helpful to watch, man! I watch a ton of Destiny content on CZcams and haven't really seen anything like this before. It's so helpful to hear your analysis in the moment and coaching people through their specific issues. I learned a ton about countering certain loadouts. The idea of using things you hate going up against (like Jötunn 😒) to learn how to counter them better was really insightful. I really hope to see more content like this from you, especially since I can't really get it anywhere else. Keep up the great work 👍
I could be wrong, but imagine doing a raffle to get like a 30 min lesson on stream. Not only are you teaching that person, or even person(s) with you, people watching as well are learning. I don’t think I’ve seen a Destiny streamer ever really do this before. Great video, and keep slaying..
That's a great 💡
I think this is very kind of you and a great video, it will not only help the person you are personally coaching but also players with the same play style or less confident players, so it applies to more than one person and I hope to see more of this because its great content and a really enjoyable to watch, keep it up Frost
I’d love to do this as well, I know there are things that I have to improve on and having someone there to point out mistakes and giving pointers is something I need. Hopefully in the future I’ll be able to do this. Great video frabo, keep up the good work!!!
Thank you man! Glad you enjoy!
You're a genius. I am a 51 year grandmother and I kept seeing my nephew play these games over the last few years. I kept thinking they looked so good compared to what I grew up with. Not that they were bad games but I remember playing original Mario Brothers when I was a teenager and we all thought we were awesome for getting to the end of the game. But compared to the games that are around today? So basically I talked him into to showing me some games he thought I might like. I really love the story rich games. He recommended Warframe, Destiny 2, SWTOR, Guild Wars 2, and Secret world Legends. I tried them all and these are my favorites because the storyline for most of them is so good. BUT...I am a horrible pvp'er. It took me a long time to even begin to understand what mods to use and when to use them. I am still not very sure. I feel like there are a lot of things I don't get. I am getting there, don't get me wrong but I for sure am not coordinated enough. I watch these guys jumping around and killing each other and I think, "I didn't even see them coming." lol
I appreciate this content, so much brother! Particularly the part about knowing/playing different weapons to learn the ins & outs, to better understand how to counter etc. . Thank you! And great work, as usual Frost!
This video is so good, as a hunter main the way you went over what you should aim for stat-wise at the start is something I've been trying to sort out for a while, thanks for the lesson Frost!
Outstanding work man! Really informative, and I love that you had sessions with people at different skill levels and being able to see more advanced decision-making tips depending on what they needed to get to the next level. Great content.
This was amazing to see ! Alot of players enter pvp feeling like they aren't getting any better or don't know how to improve, it was nice to watch and even take some hints along the way ! Great Vid !
As a person who works out as well I can tell from the beginning of the conversation that your way of explaining certain aspects comes from how you would teach someone who asked for workout advice. Nice teaching style Frost!
Videos like these are so rare and are gold! I watched the whole thing in it's entirety and learned a lot. My who problem is movement and ego challenge. I'm so used to COD. Similar in camera breaks but so different in ability play. Just awesome to see a video like this.
I love how friendly, patient and kind you are to other players. it is seriously appreciated.
This is awesome of you and really cool to see your mindset on PvP tactics. It's nice to hear this stuff. Some stuff I knew but others it's just good to see it how it's done correctly.
Something I really liked about this video was that Frost didn't force this player to change their loadout. They examined what they had and found ways to improve or enhance it.
They’re also rocking a very mega load out that needs no change
This video helped so much in giving tips from a top PVP-er. I keep finding myself exposed in gunfights so tip about shooting and ducking back in cover is something I plan to focus more about. Thank you !
This was an absolutely amazing watch! That kid was pretty sharp & very clearly has the makings of an extremely good player!
I was worried when you first went into a private match, I have bad anxiety & something I always always do playing scrims etc with friends? I'm pretty good at my positioning, I have a pretty good knowledge of head glitches, good peak spots etc BUT! Especially going in with guys i know will absolutely slap me? I'm there to pick up tips become a better player.... I don't finish the kill, I'm waiting for that "In this situation I would..." moment which usually ends in a respawn animation & "Dude why didn't you kill me there!?"
Definitely cool to see him fully take on what you were saying & start adding those to his already pretty decent decisions!
More of this please! Something I'd definitely like to throw out? I'm a disabled player, I have some Manual Dexterity issues. If they're playing up then I will always tell my friends & I'll back out BUT! There are times when if I had a millisecond more time I would've been totally fine. Just wondering if you'd be able to find someone with a disability that just needs those few extra big brain PVP Lord tactics to fully commit!
this helped me out a ton, some of this stuff was subconscious for me but the biggest part is being aware of all these tips and strats. a level head wins more duels than a steady hand. superb tutorial, also watching your trials runs after this video I'm catching a LOT more of the strategy, excellent player and coach
This is a great idea and your communication as a teacher offering key tips and commentary is exceptional. Would love to see more of these videos!
Love this format. Well done and excellent coaching.
This was way more informative than someone telling me, do this, do that. Of course aim and movement are key factors but thats something everyone can practice. You broke down engagements in a way that a beginner can understand and learn from. You are making us realize what we should be thinking when taking on certain situations. Im just below average, a .9 k/d player not ka/d true k/d. Im saving this vid and going through it with a fine tooth comb to try and take my game to the next level. Thank you for doing this. Its not easy to find someone as good as you who doesnt have an elitist or toxic attitude towards this game. Big respect Frost ✊🏾
It's one thing to be good at crucible or any pvp shooters, but to actually explain it methodically like this, shows a deeper understanding of everything at play. Really dig this
This is really great, I like that you talked about not only gameplay, but also the build. I feel like that is something I don't often see in coaches. It was helpful for me, since I have a decent knowledge of builds, but I also have a lot of questions when it comes to them. Awesome job!!
I loved this style of video. It’s so good to see your breakdown and what makes a good player good. It’s easy to recognize your god-tier play but hardest to put it into words. Your game sense is top notch and this is great content!
Didn't expect to watch an hour long video on PvP as a main PvE player. I was player Iron Banner while listening to your coaching and instantly started using your tips. Having a dedicated armor set and using PvE mods was something that I never did. I'm also thankful that you picked different classes and different playstyles. Am I going to get better from following these tips, maybe but I sure am going to try. I really hope this becomes a series. Well done.
I learned so much just from watching you coach other players. My destiny 2 one year anniversary is coming in October and this really helped my understanding on so many different topics in pvp. Thanks Frost! :)
This was suggested to me at random and I put it on as background noise while I was designing. I just wanted to say you gave her SO MANY GOOD TIPS that are vital to the pacing of pvp. Some of which I didn't even realize I had got careless about in my own gameplay. Thank you, you completely earned my sub on this. Keep making good content Frost.
This is such an original and creative new type of content. It adapts what an existing player's kit and preferences can achieve in pvp to the current meta and perceived game philosophy.
I loved this video man, great format and a cool change from flawless games also it was great seeing it live! I’d love to have a coaching session with you man 💪
I really enjoyed this, I learned some things myself. And I loved how you talked to them not at them and truly was helping them get better at the game.
Honestly that was awesome I’d say I’m decent at cruce but man that was amazing even teaching me things I’d never consider thinking about and this is unlike anything I’ve ever seen someone do for his fan base before your taking time out of your day to help someone else become better with your skills and awareness in a game you love thank you for being extra frosty 24/7 your amazing man a great player and a great man much love to you bro
What a video, I think this is the best coaching video for destiny I've seen. Great stuff
I remember suggesting that you do something like this in your stream chat like a year and a half ago. I told you that I thought you'd be good at it, but you said it wasn't really your thing. Glad you came around! This was great. I also think you could get a lot of engagement having users send in clips of matches and you could make videos out of analyzing them. Easy content, easy to digest. It would also take less time and it's a good way to build a connection with your fanbase. I would definitely watch that. It would also be a good compliment to this style of video where you have a longer and more personal session with a fan. Keep up the good stuff man.
This was by far one of if not the best video i have seen from you over the years of me dropping in and watching your video's. Lets see more of this!
I’ve started to take a lot of things into consideration after watching this yesterday, especially when it comes to closing the gaps on long range players. Took it into crucible last night and it helped my game a lot! If I lose a fight, I ask what I could’ve done differently to win it and try to make adjustments
This would be fantastic as an ongoing series, call it Crucible Coach or something. Some really top tier teaching shown here. Great job Frost.
Man you are just awesome for doing this. Thanks for doing this and helping the community out
Great idea! Would love to see some more of these.
Best type of destiny video mate. Really refreshing and helpful.
You and Benny have nice personalities . Love your work
I was originally planning on putting this on my radio as I made my two hour trek to the job site, but I instantly realized I'll have to pay far more attention and actually sit down to watch this. Good stuff, man.
I haven't played crucible in like a year now and don't plan to, yet I watched this entire video and was taking mental notes for some reason, great video
This was awesome! Would also be cool to see a mix of 1:1 coaching but also coaching them live during actual gameplay and/or including a segment where you watch/analyze a game replay with them.
I play pvp pretty regularly in other games and destiny is my chill grind game after long work days/weeks. But I've been always wanting to dive more into its pvp style and these videos are amazing. Love your coaching work man!
Greeaaaat video. So many good tips. Would love to see this become a regular series on your channel.
When I started to want to get good at PvP, the hardest lesson to wrap my head around was stat distribution. Not because it wasn't easy to understand, but I never had anyone explain how much Resil & why you want that much for example. This is very healthy for the community & I hope you continue this as a series perhaps. Call it the iFrostBolt Dojo with Master Frosty ;)
Resilience only recently got given this level of importance, with the stability aswell.
I'll be watching this again as I make a lot of the same mistakes. This Video was a great learning experience for me and was also very entertaining... Thanks Frost for taking the time to make this vid and being so supportive of the community.
These are so helpful Frost! I think these showcase game sense better than most educational crucible videos out there! keep them coming!
Awesome vid Frost! I feel like I learn a lot just watching you play, but this takes it to another level of understanding. I've been playing Destiny since the beta that came with Crackdown and I've never been any good at sixes or trials. Never can seem to improve past not feeding in sixes (1.0 kd is my average usually) and have never gotten more than 3 wins on a trials card. I usually do better in comp (kd wise), but still struggle in trials. This vid gives me a lil hope for improving. Thanks for doing this type teaching vid!
love this, this would be a great experience and would love to see more streamers/youtubers do this sort of thing
From a veteran player from D1 to D2, I have learned some things from this video and recognized things I could improve on. Great video Frost! Keep up the great content man.
Dude this was really really informative, keep up the fantastic content and thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Dude that was so much good information, what a great video up till the very end. Thank you I'm going to try abd work on all those tips. apreceate you homie
Big thanks to you, Bolt. It's the most useful video for pvp I'd ever seen before.
My dude this is awesome stuff right here, love to see you pros taking some time to coach. Means a lot to the average player!!!
Great video Frost! Learned a lot from this and I have been playing since dark below! Love that you didn't kill them each chance you had and let them learn and recover. Hope to see more! Also would like to see why you made this video or why this particular person that made you do it!
this is very nice, a lot to learn from a video like this, first coaching video I see on destiny
Love this! This is super helpful, hope to see more!
I would love to see a video of tips for important elements of pvp, such as 10 tips to improve positioning or how to improve game sense or just some rules to follow in certain situations, something like that.
Absolutely, brilliant video!!! Been playing d2 for years and picked up so many good tips from this video!!!
Destiny 2 - Master Class feat. IFrostBolt
thanks for the knowledge and amazing vid!
this is a great series, they did great picking up your tips, great to see!
Great fountain of information. More of these would be awesome Frost
Frost please do more coaching videos! This has been so helpful!
Yo frosty,
Brilliant video...
I always wondered why no one ever had done videos like this.
Really good to watch.
Was here during the stream myself I’m mostly a PvP player and this helped me with certain things I didn’t know thanks Man!
Glad I could help, glad you enjoy bro!
You can really see the gap that movement and timing can cause when used with a skilled player. Frost did a good job displaying that pressure while also giving a healthy environment for the other player! Really cool stuff Frost!!👍🏾 I haven’t played in years so I need to get in this series 😂😂!
Man I just learned a lot! I've been watching your trails carries for tips but this just popped up on my feed and wow! Would love to see another vid like this or even take part?
This is WONDERFUL content. Can't wait to see more of it! Coach Frabo let's GOOOOOO
Glad you enjoy!
@@IFrostBolt I feel like I'm equal parts PVE and PVP player, relatively decent - but I'm finding value in the advice you're giving her and can apply it to my own gameplay as well. Cheers!
Great session bro, keep up the good work. I like the way you support the community.
Awesome content, watching someone as skilled as u, slow down and break it down. Truly great content.
It was so wholesome to see these two players get direct help from the legend himself. Good shit Frost :)
Hey frost love this. Please do more of these. Probably hands down the best and most applicable pvp videos ever. Thank you!
Dude... Thanks for being such a great teacher and wealth of knowledge!!!
Man this was awesome!!! I would love ❤️ a coaching session like this I main a blink warlock and I use travelers chosen with a sniper rifle . I would get a lot out of a coaching session like this I think they got a lot of out of it and I did too watching it … great video buddy!!
This is amazing, I’m a new light player started 5 weeks ago, and because I’ve been off work for a surgery I’ve made very good progress, got a crafted austringer in 2 weeks and have a good understanding on builds. My issue is the game sense and mechanics, your content has helped me a lot, I almost went flawless last weekend (6 game streak) while being 1545 power.
I loved the get experience with what you're up against tip you have. I play a lot of fighting games on the side of Destiny and the best way I like to get better at beating different characters is to not just play against it more but play with that character I struggle against myself
Awesome video frost. This is super helpful for all players new and old.
This video is such an amazing starting point for anyone who wants to try crucible. Props to you my guy
This was dope. I enjoyed this a bunch.
Some great pointers that hit multiple play styles, I definitely got better watching this. Hopefully this becomes a series on your channel.
Great video! I learned several things that i can practice on my next PVP match, thanks
Frost what amazing content, and its really amazing that you're helping other people to be better. Kudos
O my gosh the defensive play was improved almost Instantly amazing coaching skill Frost
This is a great series, keep doin this frost
