Love this one so much! I get so much Tuberose cardamom and woods on my skin. Excellent review, it is quite difficult to review the Opus line in general because their fragrances are quite unique and they're the type of scents you have to smell in real life!
Oh my...I was finally able to purchase a sample of this...and it is amazing!!! At the opening I was a little worried, bc the opening is quite heady. However, once it begins to settle into my skin, I was so taken by this fragrance. I will continue to test from my sample, but I do think this will be a FB purchase for me in the future! The notes that I can really pick out are cardamom, ylang-ylang, tuberose, plum, papyrus, guaiac wood and sandalwood. This is a must try imo, though surely not a safe blind buy. Edit: I also wanted to say that after trying this, I can see why you seemed a little nervous about this review, but you nailed it, spot on!

Yes this one is amazing, so so strange at times but really cool, I find it hard to find an occasion for this one, I'm not sure where it fits haha.

I try not to think about whether a fragrance is appropriate for a given occasion. Typically I wear what I want, when I want and if others think it's inappropriate...oh well! I know that seems kind of rude, but seriously, if I took other people's opinions of me into account with everything, I would be miserable. If you love it wear it!!! With this one, I want a FB, but I think it would take a long time to get through a full bottle...so I'm thinking of trying to get a good size decant from scent split or the perfumed court (unless I could find an amazing deal on a FB). Again, the review was perfection!
I'm the same, I wear whatever, whenever..but this one seems to be stumping me. It's really heavy and strange (but I love it of course). I think it would be too choking at dinner haha. It's more of an evening kinda thing, but fresh enough for day. I'll sort out your sample ASAP!

Mrs Press I'm so intrigued by both your love of this unique plethora of scents, I'm kinda afraid to ask but this has really piqued my interest..where did you purchase your sample? I can't afford to do a blind buy of a full bottle and tuberose and my chemistry can be atrocious at times but I'm so interested by everything that I'm willing to risk it.
U should try old formula for 1 2 3 i have both reformula n old formula the difrend box open from above the bottle also a bit difrend old bottle more curved rounded unlike reformula version more squared shape.. also longevity more for 2012 old version.. well enjoy it budy😉
Hey, Thomas, would you say Amouage 1 smells similar to Maroussia by Slava Zaitsev? In Fragrantica, some people say it does. I'm looking for a stronger and longer lasting version of Maroussia so am keen to check this juice out. Thanks! I would say absolutely not. :( Opus 1 is so much more rich and complex, they are worlds apart. I cannot stand Maroussia, it's one of the few fragrances I've wanted to scrub off immediately. ouchies.

Interesting, 6 years ago you use temin Woods simphony for Opus I and 2020/21 they call Opus V Woods simphony 😊

My most favorite opus 1 2 3 4 5 7 8 9 10 and latest 11.. only number 6 didnt suite me.. lov hugs from malaysia💕
