“Back in my day, Nekusar WAS the power creep!”
“Okay Grammy, let’s get you back to bed.”

The cries echo from many an LGS into eternity from the existence of this commander but a play style that has always attracted me though I never built it out of fear of criticism. Definitely makes for a fun watch!

I took spiteful visions out a long time ago. Nekusar is still good and there’s been a lot on recent years that has made it even better

Great revisit to an older commander. It's good to get the older ones out of the locker to see if newer cards have a better fit. I completely agree about the addition of Basilisk Collar. Great gameplay as usual.

I agree. We’ll see if the viewers do or if they leave this video alone and await Bloomburrow.

Used to love the Jyoti player’s comments on Gatherer

You flooded out so hard. Almost felt empathy for a Nekusar player.

I do not understand why the Dog player scooped, if you don't want any of your cards to be targeted why are you playing a game where that happens all the time

You can’t use logic to work out where someone got with emotion.

That crystal shard on nekusar is either a bad call of a new-ish MTG player, or a PTSD reaction of early EDH veterans.
That Callix already was growing fast, and enchantress is an archetype you can't ignore.
Unless the niche case you got a dedicated hate card in the deck for that reason (Serenity , Back to nature, Calming Verse, Cleansing meditation, Aura shards...)
Good Old commander. When wheel decks were fair.
    (A.k.a before Narset)

I would’ve been looking at Calix personally but Nekusar can go off out of nowhere. The early scoop changed the dynamic of the game too. But the middle player seemed to have his eyes locked on me this game when it should’ve been us two vs Calix.

I just didn't have much to contribute to this game honestly. Bounce something to get the frog in and hope for lands- got one land. Success? Was working towards Primeval Bounty and cracking those fetches, and didn't want to wheel away my existing hand, so bouncing Nekusar means he has to replay him before wheeling- that's good for me.
The real precognitive play would have been to bounce Scooby Doo and cause that player to scoop, then attack with a 13/13 frog, mill 13 cards, put 7ish lands into play, but who could have guessed, eh?
(Also turns out my strategy of playing really slowly got me attacked a lot by the other players. Should have mulliganed, but who can resist 3 lands, eh?)

T-Kai… an oldie and definitely goldie. I’ve never built it, but I’ve played against it and love it! GG good sir. ❤

I still run a Nekusar deck and with the addition of Sheoldred he is a dream come true. I like to call him Neku-Neku :)

I love Nekusar type decks. Wheels and cards to speed the game along regardless of winning or losing.

My play group maintains a nekusar deck. 4 different people have run him. Politics is why paper is best.

You should really include Helm of the Ghastlord, it's brutal in Nekusar and removes the downside of giving cards to your opponents

Just to help out. Silvan Libary always draws 3 cards, then you may put some cards back or pay life.

I think you could kill mesa enchantress there by just casting bowmasters in the next player upkeep
