This is 1st time seeing this stich. I loved this stich. You are awesome creator. Thanks for sharing this.
Thank you for sharing ❤
That's real forest you made so beautiful!!! 💖👌👍🤗
Thank you for this... great texture and so easy!!
Susan, I watched with a cheesy smile. You made magic happen. How cool was that.
This is exactly the stitch I need for moss! Along with drizzle, colonial knots and the tendrils. Yes! Super excited about trying this out, and I will try it out on every thread I have!
Finally something to do when my thread gets all twisted! 😂
I love that stitch. And I’ll track down that drizzle stitch too. Perfect for today since we’re getting a thunderstorm at the minute. Jan
It is such a from stitch. I’m glad you like it. I show the drizzle here czcams.com/video/VLCLeL_amYI/video.html and in a couple of other videos.
@@SusanTaylorBrown it’s just the stitch I didn’t know I needed. I’ve made a redbud tree and used beads for the blooms for dimension. This stitch will be perfect to add bulk without adding weight. I’m so glad I don’t need to make piles of French knots! 😂
My mom was a researcher for the Metropolitan Museum of Arts costume department in NYC and she showed my theses in some of the gowns. Doubt she knew the stitch but we did notice them. Very cool effect. Looks hard but the spiral effect is really beautiful!! I’m going to practice.
Oh what a amazing things you must have seen with your mom. The stitch is actually much easier than it looks. I really like it with 6 strands of wool. So fuzzy!
Ohhh Wowww!!! That’s sooo cool!!! Thanks so much for sharing!!! You might make a stitcher out of me yet!!! 🤭😂🤣🌷💕
I love the idea of making a little shrublike bunch of threads. Can't wait to try this out. ❤
Wow! I've never seen this one before! So much scope for texture. Love it!
How cool is that ! ! ! Thank you for sharing....can't wait to try it!
Thank you! Love drizzle stitch, so will try this too!
They make a great combination for adding texture. I'm glad you're going to give it a try. Have fun.
so fun! Just one adds a lot of dimension.
Ooh, looks like fun! Did you say it and I missed it? Does it have a name, this stitch?
Love this stitch! Thanks for sharing 👌🏾
I love this, Thankyou for sharing
Wonderful! Thank you for sharing this.
love it!!!
Love it!!! 🙂
Love it I am so going to have a go at this one…perfect for my rock garden I’m working on 😊 thank you again for more inspiration Susan ❤
Totally cool, thank you!!!!!!
Fabulous! Thank you!
Very interesting. Thank you for sharing
it really IS wonderful. Just what I need in my needle arts folder. I came over here from FB, after falling in love with your recent post. ( like the moss garden/forest i mentioned over there. )
Oh I'm so happy to have you over here for a bit. Thank you for checking out my channel. Yes, this stitch is so much fun and so easy and different. We haven't seen a ton of it so I'm looking forward to seeing how people use it in all their own unique ways. And thank you for your kind words about my moss garden forest piece that I really need to name soon.
It looks easy but my hands won't be able to handle it. 😆
Could it works as nice just by over twisting the thread Z or S as it has been first spun ? Why is is necessary to undo for counter twist ? I certainely have to test by myself. Thank you for sharing.
❤ You know I'm not sure. If you give it a try. Please report back if you remember. I'm just passing on the way I learned the stitch and I haven't done any further experiments on it yet.
I really love this stitch. I had a hard time following since you were off screen a few times and I'm trying to find more information on this stitch. I'm not having luck. Can you give me any more links or info?
Just twist it toward you, pull the thread up and twist it toward you over and over and over again. It’s a lot of fun to do this stitch. I’m glad you like it.
how did you make the rope looking ones?
I think you might be referring to the bullion knots. They can look ropes.
Hard to see what you're doing when your hands are off camera.
Seriously? Twisting a thread? You had to see her twist a thread from start to finish? 🙄
Wish the camera was down lower so I could see how your fingers are working.
Sorry about that. I just posted a new video that hopefully shows it better.
Thank you
