Hey, I would just like to thank you for these very informational videos about surveying. I really appreciate it, since not many people vlog about surveying!
thanks! glad you like it more to come :)
It was really interesting and useful video! Huge thanks for your job🙂
thanks!
Hi thanks for the informative video. Something I’ve been looking to try - what software have you gone with for planning the flights and processing? Would make a good sequel!
cool, im using ArcGIS its pretty good but expensive
Nice work
Does it not make sense to GPS the GCPs last because then you can pick the targets up as you go back towards the car? My 3lb club hammer is permanently in the car. I recently did a TPS survey and got a guy with drone to do the same site. It is for my thesis. Interesting results.
yeah totally does, thats my new workflow lol. Hammer is now re located in the truck :)
@@SheWhoDaresWins I'd be interested myself, at the moment the outlay in computers, licenses and things like compliance etc really puts me off. I'd be interested in a future video about this. For eg, the guy who did the drone survey for me said there's a lot of GDPR when flying over adjacent properties, kids in gardens, people sunbathing. It sounds like there's a lot to consider.
@@VickersCreations very much so, software and expenses and computer costs almost quadrupled the costs of getting set up, but having it in the tool box alongside GPS and total station has defo been worthwhile, all expenses paid off with work after just two months :) worth a look into if you are thinking about it. I hired one a couple of times at the start to see if I could get some jobs and then went from there.
What is the accuracy of the gps compared to a total station ?
Thanks 👍
I want to come and do my industrial training in the uk
How is that possible?
I’m a Nigeria fan of urs
And I studied surveying and geo-informatics in Nigeria 🇳🇬
