I picked the Blendjet a long time ago after your review of it because I liked the portability of it and after a while I stoped using it because I got tired of its weak blending and I just recently picked up the Ninja (BN401) 1100 watt countertop blender and I’d say what it lacks in portability it makes up in power and perfect smoothies every time. #NotAnAd

Well, since we’re talking about video frequency, etc. , both the short, single product reviews and the multiple product comparisons have merits. For example, each has James, who is worth watching because he is thorough, and gives useful analysis. Perhaps to improve monetization, you could just toss in more unsolicited items with less editing, say maybe three times per week, and then do your one big multiple product review every ten days or so. Just a thought. I do appreciate your longer multi item videos, because your unique way of comparison and your humor are shown to better effect. 🤔

I remember when I was a bit younger, all I wanted was the Magic Bullet, and finally my parents got one for me (crazy expensive). It worked well for a while till I started to notice some brown/orange flakes at the bottom of my smoothies and then that escalated to some brown liquid always being left inside the blender part. Finally, it dawned on me that the part with the blades was taking in liquid, the components were rusting on the inside, and that rust was getting into my drink (good source of iron I guess!).
So I won't ever return to these portable or quick-and-easy types of blenders. Way too expensive for potentially shoddy craftsmanship. Not to say that this blender is shoddy, but is sure does have a similar design.

Actually, just looked it up before posting this. It seems to be pretty much the 5200. There are nicer newer vitamix's now, but it's still probably the machine more people have than any other of their line. The only reason I upgraded from it was because I got a free one from the company.

      @AustynSN Před 2 lety

@@MrScubajsb Some advice I just thought about. If you decide to get any attachments for it, some newer stuff will work with the old machines, but some won't. Newer stuff will all generally be labeled "Self Detect". If a container is 64 oz, then you can only use if it's the "classic container". The shorter 64-oz (Self detect and otherwise) will work on your machine, but may burn out the motor because the wider base on the newer 64-oz containers is for newer machine with more powerful motors. (Basically, if your machine came with a tall classic 64-oz or smaller than 64-oz container, don't use the wide base.) The 32 and 48 oz containers will ALL work with your machine. (And pretty much ANY Vitamix made since the 50s or 60s. This includes the special "AER" and dry blade containers. I think the metal container would work too since it's 48-oz, but not certain. Those were introduced after my time with the company. If you want personal blending on the same base, you'll have to get the "Personal Cup Adapter". It's a bit cumbersome, but has to be for legal/safety reasons. The "Self Detect" personal blade base won't even fit your machine. However, if you need extra 20-oz cups for the PCA, the self detect 20-oz cups will work, but don't put the 8-oz on there for safety reasons. The food processor attachment also won't work with your machine, but I have it and to be honest, it's not the greatest food processor. (The "Self Detect" is a safety feature that controls the max speed and time limit of newer containers, as well as preventing the machine from running without newer containers. They basically made it so that the newer machines could use containers the consumer products safety commission wouldn't allow on a machine that always starts when you hit the switch.)
And for anybody else reading this who has a newer machine with "Self Detect" (Ascent or Venturist), You can use all "Self Detect" containers, but ONLY Self "Detect Containers".
(The machines with "Self Detect" can also work with a app called "Perfect Blend" to run the machine with around 17 automated settings for the standard blending containers and some for the mini and dry blades. However, last I heard from somebody still with the company, Vitamix had a falling out with the smart scale company that makes the app so there won't be any more updates for newer containers.)

Ngl, "portable blenders" are just so niche in practical use.
Like, unless you are put in a situation where "I gotta drink this now", then I don't find any practical use in having a portable blender.
99.9% of the time, the ingredients are in my house, and I can prepare them while at home.
+ most of the time, I want to have what I'm blending in larger volumes, and as such I really like bigger blenders.
The only real feature (which some blenders already had anyway) is the ability to just put a cap on the bottle and take it on the go.
Otherwise, the smaller volume + weaker motor just doesn't justify to me the ability to blend things outside of having a socket.

Without garantee, i would say as much as the small blender he tried before.. wich is a rough 30 cycles. (but cycles were like 5 to 8 minutes if i remember good.) As there is no specific cycles here, i think it would be judged by the owner himself, so it may have a variation of half an hour or something.

  • @Homesteadingandreviews

My only issue with the video is.
1 if traveling with the blender if the button is pressed does the blade spind with out the cup attached.
    2. What is the run time and does it out turn off at a time.

$20-$25 for that and I'd buy it right now.
$120... no way ever. For that, I'd buy a mobile battery that has A/C and D/C outputs and just use my badass countertop blender. LOL

WHERE did you get the Al Bundy shirt?? I WANT that....would match my Polk High 33 Bundy jersey. As for the blender, nope....expensive paperweight when the battery won't hold a charge. If it had a plug or replaceable batteries then yea, but as is? No way.
