In less than a decade, Payal Kadakia built an impressive global fitness empire and shattered stereotypes for female tech entrepreneurs of color and she became the first unicorn of the decade.
She is the Executive Chairman & Founder of the world's most flexible fitness membership, ClassPass and she holds a degree from MIT in Operations Research and Economics.
At the beginning of 2010, Payal was 26 and had no idea that she'd become an entrepreneur. She was living two lives - one was dancing and the other was working in the grind of Corporate America.
While searching for a dance class, she casually came across a problem she knew she had to fight hard to solve, so she created a search engine to do it for her.
10 years later, that one class search has turned into millions of classes booked all around the world.

Be connected to your "why"
Prioritize and manage your time (flip to make your calendar work for you not the other way around)
Set/take small steps
Run towards what makes you unique
Set boundaries
Share your process and progress with supporters
Have a sense of play
Have a plan in place
Break programmed limiting money patterns
Know your numbers/budget
Set quarterly goals that include both personal and professional life
Set own expectations
Step 1: reflect on themes (emotions/thoughts) that were present in past year
Step 2: imagine its 1 year in the future and reflect on top 5 themes you will have experienced. Anchor yourself in your dream words.
Step 3: time diagnoses (where are you spending your time and how much)
Step 4: Rate where you spend your time
Step 5: pick 3 areas to focus on and create specific actionable goals in all 3 areas
Build your confidence and execution through small steps
