"Once Upon a December" is a song from the 1997 Fox Animation Studios film Anastasia. The song was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song. The song and its lyrics are heard three times through the course of the story, twice as a lullaby, and once as a complete song with a bridge. The lullaby is heard first during the film's prologue (performed by Angela Lansbury as the Dowager Empress Marie, and Lacey Chabert as the young Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna of Russia) then as an a cappella version toward the end of the film when the Dowager Empress and the adult Anastasia are reunited (sung by Lansbury, and Liz Callaway as Anastasia). Callaway also sings the complete version (which does not include the lullaby lyrics) during the film's second act. A pop version with vocals by country singer Deana Carter was also featured on the film's soundtrack and was released as a music video. - Hudba

This piece just hits different.. i've discovered thsi video awhile, been listenning to for awhile too. But weirdly, the more i listen to, the more i have a feeling deep in it. The way this song could be emotionally delightful but also dramatic in another way, it hits me harder than any other song. You might not see this comment but i'd like to share how this incredible version of piano had gotten me a goosebump. Reminding me of all hardtime i've went through, every memory either good or bad. My breath was taken. Thankgod i found you, the youtube recommended me a video of your "my heart will go one, from the titanic", i bought your sheet after few times watching the video, its amazing of how you change the "im tired of this song already" "again??" You turned it into another words. This song, although i've never seen this movie before, i somehow feel something, the meaning, the tone, how is this movie about by just listening to your finger dancing like a leaves blew along the fresh wind. Hugh respect to you!
