This scene was honestly kinda sad when you realize that not only are they best friends. But both of them weren’t in their right state of mind during this fight. Peter because of black suit. Harry because of the goblin serum.
The worst fights are with friends and family
For Harry, not just the serum, he’s been ignored by dad. He last saw Norman’s body in Peter’s arms, swore to end Spider-Man’s life for it. Blames him for stopping Doc Ock’s machine for causing too much damage, it’s a lot.
@@tuscan4174it’s true, Harry wanted payback because of his father’s death and he pegged it on Spider-Man because of what he saw when spider man brought Norman’s body back. Even if Peter Parker tried to convince Harry about what happened that night and how Norman died, Harry wouldn’t believe it and he would still focus on getting revenge.
And they were fighting for a 304 that cheated on both of them
Plus Norman turned Harry on Peter like the dick he was.

I love this fight scene, not only is it heavily driven emotionally, which makes sense given it's two friends fighting it out, it's also animalistic. These two are fighting almost like animals, hunched over and snarling at each other, they've given up any thought of tactics, tricks, or talking it's just raw hatred and animalistic instincts as they beat the ever loving fuck out of each other

The soundtrack for this fight is awesome. It actually starts quite jovial almost jazz like with few elements to it. Then as the tension ramps up, extra instruments are layered throughout. It also jumps around to match the moments of the fight like sound of Harry's blades, the fire etc. Then when they burst into goblins workshop it descends into wild violins, matching Harry's wild energy as he just swings manically for the kill. Then the soundtrack is dropped at the end, to emphasise the impact of the bomb and let the audience comprehend Peters decision.

3:05 I never noticed the explosion THROWS Harry's body stage-right. Like damn.
I also never noticed before how much Tobey is smiling at parts. After he says "That all you got?" he's in control and clearly loving it. Caught a quick smirk when Harry's charging back in from the balcony, and again right after Harry THUDS against the second-floor banister. The suit really has its claws in Peter by now, and Harry being "the other man" was basically the last straw. It's actually a little incredible Peter even gives Harry a second chance ("I'm done trying to convince you.")
And if you frame-by-frame the pumpkin bomb throw, it's clear that if Peter didn't have his Spider Sense it would have hit him in the back of the head. Like damn, Harry.

I think the story would have been better if Harry knew truth all along but repressed it until he finally accepted it at the end. It‘s insane how much emotional impact and set up this fight has. Peter and Harry used to be best friends in high school, but the tension between them just rose and rose during the trilogy. Until they started beating the life out of each other with nothing but hatred and contempt.
Throughout the whole fight you can see and feel the power that peter's attacks do to harry while its clear that peter barely has any scratches by the end . Harry got humbled real quick

Maybe it’s because we don’t see Peter wearing a Spider-Man suit or the black suit Spider-Man and venom is kind annoying
Because it was wrongfully promoted as a Venom movie while Venom has a screentime of probably 10-15 minutes in the whole film. And because film critics and fanboys are stupid and took obvious funny moments like Emo Peter’s dance serious.
Personally I think the first two films were better written and had better supervillians and reconsider if you think this movie was better than the masterpiece that was SM2.

Spiderman 1 was awesome, while Spiderman 2 was the definition of "that's how you make a sequel!" Spiderman 3 was a bit silly but it had its moments (like this)

And after all that, he still didn’t try to kill Harry (until the last second because throwing a bomb into someone’s face is certainly having no regard for their life), it shows Peter is good at heart even when corrupted.

This scene is probably my all time favorite super hero fight of all time the build up from the first and second film the brutality and the way Peter dose not want to hold back on Harry just like the viewer dose either it so good yes it goofy yes it meme material but still this a goofy yet serious scene and it’s so good definitely my favorite superhero scene ever in my opinion
Toby Macquire probably had the most sinister voice of the Spiderman actors. That line about dude's father gives me chills every single time, and that serious smirk on the face completely sells it

Harry's confidence in his newfound strength and gadgets, and then Peter basically dominating him with spidey sense and years of fighting experience, is so satisfying to see after seeing Peter getting his ass beat so often.

It’s not just his spider sense and fighting experience. The suit makes Peter way stronger and faster. Harry was pretty much outclassed in every area here. Harry vs normal Spider-Man would be a more even fight but he’d still win of course for the reasons you listed.
