Fixer Upper is the show that brought a boom in the home making industry and suddenly, everyone was paying more attention to renovating their home according to certain themes. One of the experts of home improvement on Fixer Upper was Joanna Gaines who made the art seem so simple that anyone could do it and that’s probably what sparked the interest of so many people in home renovation.
She soon became a huge deal in the industry and started a brand called Magnolia that turned into a proper lifestyle brand and her furnishing products started selling like hot cakes. I wish them all the success. Being apart of the industry television, is a rude beast. There are so many dishonest people who tend to ruin the experience for you. From producers, business partners, and sometimes your peers.

I miss them! Great show we could relate to and was actually mad when they went on their own. I loved the complex they developed. When they stopped showing their own development it was all about the money and growth. We miss you two!💖

Chip is such a lovely fella and brought endless entertainment with his antics during the renovations, Joanna tried to keep him in check at the beginning but eventually liked to join in the fun which made their show even better. Lovely family, hope they're all doing well.

Home Town is my favorite, followed by Fixer Upper but the show that really blew me away was Bargain Mansions. They glammed her up and softened her image over the seasons, but those early projects saw Tamara Day wielding every tool imaginable. Helps if your dad had you working on old houses from childhood, but when was the last time you saw a woman using a stonecutter to slice through concrete ? She rocked up in jeans and a flannel shirt, told the men in her crew what they would be doing that day, then got her hands dirty. I get that reality TV makes things look quick and easy, but that woman has wrists and forearms you wont get in ANY gym ;)

@@alidi4144 it's all 'staged' but I choose to believe that Tamara is the real deal. That isn't to take anything away from the women who concentrate on design and staging etc - it's all entertaining.
It’s sad that she’s not on regular TV channels so that we can watch like we did before. Most regular people can’t afford to pay for a special channel.
Discovery plus is one of the cheapest streaming services. Under $10 per month, no more than a burger combo. And it actually has much content on there! Compared to Netflix which is $25 a month that’s not too bad if you think about it. I don’t blame them for wanting control and not having the big networks call the shots and take away their content decisions from them

They seem very talented and smart business duo who are not greedy and know when to walk away and put family first. I've seen many couples who did reality shows and ended up in bitter divorces and blamed being on reality shows for too long destroyed their families.
They have an empire. Why do they need a show?

I hoped that they were concentrating on their many children. The younger ones are at the point in life where they need their parents present because important things are happening in their lives.
My favorite show of all time is Bargain Block. Don’t really care for chip

It was okay show seemed to last for quite a while although many things change and they probably do want to spend time with the family it is what it is

The "What Really Happened" youtube series is obviously an English-as-a-second language production. So many gramatical errors, syntax, etc. Never any resolutions to the initial question in the title. No real insight into the subject other than what can be surmised by anyone watching TV. The definition of Clickbait.
Like those that have a positive opinion regarding her, I would turn the tv OFF if she was all that was broadcast. Since that isn’t going to happen I just change the channel.

They smelled real money and had to come up with an excuse to drop the fixer upper show. She went into home furnishings and a cooking show. A lot better than pounding nails! Oh, spending more time with the family that is sop excuse everyone uses in the industry.

IMO with their Christian background they tarnished their testimony when they partnered their products with Target. Target has established a non Christian agenda with the pushing the LBGTQ platform. Target overstepped the push and are now feeling the consequences with declining sales and stock prices. I believe even some stores are closing. What shall it profit a man if he GAINS the whole world and lose his soul. Each of us will be held accountable come judgement day...including me.

I hope they remember their humble beginnings and not let it go over their heads. I heard the merchandises in the Magnolia store, are very expensive. I wish them all the best and would like to see them share more of their wealth to the community and charities.

I liked it , but it was getting dull and they got big headed and started to take more than give. That was what made them easy to like Now a group of us think they are just another celebrity couple that loves money more than people. Easy to say Good bye to them.

Miss their shows. All we get today are crappy reruns over and over and over again. We even have to pay to watch old but really great movies. No thanks, I’ll read a good book. TV and movies have gone down the toilet. Just trash out now and all with an agenda. Very sad indeed. 🙏

Maybe they could achieve their increase in sales by starting a CZcams channel - like so many other marketers are doing. Seems like CZcams allows what networks do not allow.

Best wishes to them, but I was never a fan of Fixer Upper and I actually hate the new Network. It appears all about them. Her husband appears amateur in many ways acting like a kid. The haircut of his is sloppy and his many styles appears like he has trouble growing old. She on the other hand, hides in her computer and the software that in their database suggests what should happen. Also there's not much wiggle room on a clients home. She said we can do this or that to make the budget. Secondly, not one client has ever changed Joanna's recommending anything. The clients all think she's the resident expert on everything. There was better Home Improvement shows on the old Network that I wish and hope come back.
I was never a fan because Chip was a clown and Joanna was a dictator.
