I get what you guys are saying 100%, but I would like to express something if I could.
I’m a white Canadian, my family and most my friends are white. Over the last few years of working with plant medicines I’ve been opened up to the interconnectedness of all you speak of in your music etc. I found myself this summer in the forest, sitting around the fire with 5-6 other white people talking about grandfather spirit and the power of our mother.
I know in my heart that we are figuring it out, something so deep and profound. “We are part of something special”
It may be my own insecurities..but when you guys started talking about “whites” I felt a feeling of separation that I haven’t felt since this journey began. I know that’s not at all your intention, but something to be considered.
Please don’t stop teaching and explaining, yes google is powerful but what we need is a fire under our ass to even start the search engine. You will not have “more time for yourself or to teach your own kids” these ignorant fucks will burn it all.
Don’t even bother with the racial history and land rights, just persuade them to take the plants :) :)
It is so rare people talk about their ancestors who came to follow the crops, feed America. That is a huge part of my ancestory I was told not to acknowledge for most of my life, now I am working to embrace the gift forgotten. Thank for this episode and the strength behind it.

Just be a good human, is that such a hard concept. Today is tomorrow’s yesterday Do better as a whole. Better yet, READ from people of all walks of life. Read their perspective of historical events. The media, google etc is not the way to educate ones self. Let’s Create Good Humans it’s That Simple.
The point was that Uncle Google is a place to start before you take the time away from a person of color for them to educate you. Time they spend educating a person who doesn’t get it, is time they could spend healing themselves or educating their children. They don’t owe white people, so first do your own homework. I’m guilty myself, so I’m not throwing stones.
