Nothing has given us a flagship processor, an amazing LTPO panel wireless and reverse wireless charging, metallic frames and glass back, also both front and back glass have gorilla glass 5 protection. So price is justified. Other low budget phones with 8+ gen1 don't offer that. Also not to mention 3 years of software update and 4 years of security updates. The Os is clean unlike oneplus and iqoo's and new funtouch os.

But I feel, the camera is so good that they have to fix the contrast and saturation level in order to justify the price.
I think they will improve the cameras a lot. As when the Phone (1) was launched it had a below average camera, but now after updates it is considered one of the best under 30k. The only problem was the sensor was good but not great and the processor was also not very capable but this time Nothing has played smart. They've provided a great flagship camera sensor along with a highly capable processor.
You just can't upgrade the sensor or the processor on the phone you are using. But if a Flagship combination is already there, then no need to worry as the updates will get you

Do you think still nothing 1 stands a chance if someone wants to try out the unique design and other extra features nothing is offering. Nothing should support 4-5 years of OS upgrade for every phone they launch. It can justify the price tag.
But better tunned soeakers with Dolby or DTS are much needed and few native OEM apps like dialer, phone book, SMS, Gallery, Music and video player. Like Sony, Samsung & Apple.
This phone below 40k is a great deal, with 8-256GB version.

Hey, a wonderful video. Liked it that you didn't focus too much on the Glyph Interface as rightly mentioned it will lose its novelty over time. Could you give some idea about its multimedia playback? Is it good at it than lets say a OnePlus 11R, which has HDR support in Netflix app?
i can't say whether its better than 11R. I honestly, don't have the 11R handy with me to draw that comparison. But I'll tell you that the display is really good. The speakers are nice. And when I'm watching content, I don't necessarily feel that they are below average. Sure, when you draw a comparison and listen intently, you can always find one marginally better than the other.
You are not detailed about battery life... like How much SOT.... Any battery heating issues... Any heating issues while charging...

See, I thought I would wait for the Nothing Phone 2 but instead purchased OP 11R, and based on my 2 months usage, its pretty awesome. For example, I am a heavy gamer, and I work from home, so I use it almost all the time, while working I constantly keep playing efootball 23, and Grid Autosport, and after my shift ends I dive into COD, all in their highest possible settings and I get a full day battery life, and I only charge it around 85%. However, I want to understand, if it would have been better in terms of performance and battery life to get Nothing Phone 2.

You won't notice a difference in performance unless you're playing extreme games (in which case you probably wouldn't be looking at these phones anyway), Phone (2) even has better battery life..and what's the point of an extra year of software updates when it's inferior software lmao

@@benten1432From what I have read, it will work abroad. In fact it has some 19 bands or something the more the better apparently, it is unusual to have that many bands in that price segment.
u can get s21 ultra for 35k-40k price range. put a new battery and u r good for next 2 years.

Not a deal breaker though but with this kinda display it should've had HDR certification on Netflix!
Its considered as a bloatware and it would be unfair to those who don't use netflix to have it pre installed on their phones. This makes sense. NOTHING is committed to offer bloatware free experience to its users.

The back of the phone is the handle of it, how can you put features on there and expect people to enjoy them?
Prefer the vegan leather of the Iqoo Neo 7 pro. Also, the independent gaming chip on the Iqoo is a standout feature. I just don't want a glass back phone (marketing shatter-prone glass as premium is the biggest scam by phone manufacturers).
Eventually we all put on a cover I guess. And its all fake leather when they say "vegan leather"

Sure, the phone is a head turner but its unique looks plus that polished UI is not enough to lure cost conscious customers, atleast in this country ,given its high asking price. Besides, its cameras are no great shakes and will require a couple of updates to fix.
Had it priced below 40,000 rupees, it would have been a different story. The 'extras' it offers including wireless charging and water resistance would justify the price differential.
The short point is that by pricing Nothing 2 the way he has, Carl Pei and his team have moved away from their basic 'One Plus' philosophy of providing quality mobiles with a refined user experience at a price that offers perceived value to customers. The Nothing 1 was an attempt in that direction but they have moved too much the other way with this one. Customers in India at least will not easily buy into this brand positioning given the very competitive options available in the market nowadays.

Obviously Iqoo Neo 7 Pro given its killer price despite its less than stellar UI and shortcomings in other areas !

Nothing Phone 2 has so many short comings, they could have made it a full fledged flagship phone and compete with OnePlus 11, iQoo 11, Xiaomi 13 Pro or even iPhone 14 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus. Nothing need to do better with there Nothing Phone 3 next year.

People here doesnt understand that Nothing Company is just a new company, you can't expect a super flagship specs for its first 2 or 3 products. They have the innovation or creations listed on their development timeline but I believe it needs a lot or a ton of billions of dollars to execute. For a new startup company Nothing is actually winning, The vision is there, only lacks support and finance.
People are complaining on Nothing, while iPhone wayback 5 years ago and now was not innovating and priced their products way higher than all the brands.
45k without charger is overpriced when oneplus, iqoo are providing more features like fhd+ screen, 100w charging, curved screen etc.
Samsung's S21fe is better value for money with all flagship features of Samsung's flagship series.

If it's a phone bought from India, you must first authenticate using an Indian SIM.. After that, you can use any SIM

Got S23 in 55k , So why this zomato phone? It's a garbage in front of that. Op11 and Neo 7 pro are much more value for money than this. Exact price for 256 gb is 35 k so it's 15k overpriced.

45000 for a non established and new brand nothing is big no. There are quite a lot more better options then this in the market. Too much costlier even nothing 1 was costlier as the package. Wait some time and you will see the price drop drastically.
The brand is new but people behind the brand aren't... Carl Pei was the brains behind OnePlus and launched it very successfully.. nothing is an evolution from that. It's not like they started from scratch.. so it's not like a completely new brand

All this leads big no for nothing from me. You need to do a little research about Carl Pei, the man behind the success of One plus, 2 years back he left that company and ever since then op users have been reporting issues like the green line bloatware ui etc. Also google has invested in Nothing so..

The glyph lighting is among the bulshittest inventions in a smartphone.
It's a game toy design for kids. It's not elegant
come on! In a market where all smartphones look similar, I felt this was a much needed distinction. You don't think so? I mean of course, folding and flipping phones is a way to innovate in this space - but not everyone wants a phone that folds or flips. Some want a regular candy-bar smartphone but in a unique fun design
