MY HAMSTRING STRETCHING PROGRESSION ● 30 DAYS

  • Welcome everyone. In this video I stretch a little every day for 30 days. I have always been very stiff and have lacked flexibility, partly because I have never bothered to stretch, but it's also because I am naturally inflexible. I have never been able to touch my toes unless I bounced down to the ground and made contact with them in a split second, which is definitely not good practise. So this was the time to change that...
    I hope this will motivate those of you out there who are starting out like I did, no where near touching their toes.
    Remember to hit the little red button and join us on our journey of constant progression!

    This is so helpful. I’ve convinced myself over the last 20 years that I’m just never going to be flexible, and this really helped me get over the mental block

    This is awesome.. my hamstrings are CRAZY tight. Sorta like when you first started.. I CANNOT touch the ground, or my toes.. and definitely try yoga to ease these problems.. but also get initiated by as well. I'm motivated, via this video, to go on a 30 day stretch regiment, like you.

    According to the video, I’ve just stared my journey with hamstring flexibility challenge, I’m looking forward to find this video a motivation and also an inspiration! 💪🏼😉

      Ahah yeah it's a struggle, but that's so cool that you're looking to improve your hamstring flexibility! Take it one step at a time, but try to stay regular with your stretching. Good luck mate!

    I've found myself sitting on the floor holding a static stretch whilst watching this..
    My lack of mobility has bothered me for years, severe back pain, muscle imbalances etc... feel 31 going on 80😫

    Woaw, amazing ! Exactly what I was looking for. I've got bad posture problems because of stiff muscles because I grew tall fast. I went to see a specialist, and at the beginning I could only touch my knees with my hands. Now I can almost touch my feet, but I feel like I am on a plateau. Do you have any advice ?

    • @jobacusmovies
      @jobacusmovies  Před 2 lety

      that's awesome that you can almost touch your feet! I would say try to mix up the exercises, I found pushing against a hard surface (books for instance) was the exercise that helped me progress fastest, and feeling a the burn is a good thing, so long as you don't go too far with it too quickly

    Ik this is months late but when you started did your lower back pop out more? Like when I go for the stretches I have a mirror close and it looks like my lower spine kinda pops out. From what I see on 6:04 day 1 vs day 30 it looks like that lower spine kinda pops out for you too. Was wondering if it helped with that or do you just have a shirt on and I can’t see lol?

    hey, nice video! how long did you stretch the muscle everyday? like one minute or something?

    • @joshsworld8221
      @joshsworld8221 Před 2 lety

      Yes, I would stretch for at least 30 seconds per stretch, anything less wouldn’t be considered static stretching. A minute would be the maximum time per stretch. Hope this helps

    Did you feel a slight muscle pain as inflammation, during the day after stretching?

    • @DubiousDubs
      @DubiousDubs Před 2 lety +2

      Yep, that's pretty normal, it's called delayed onset muscle soreness, or DOMS

  • @gregorgiebel1377
    @gregorgiebel1377 Před rokem +2

    this is insane progress. Did you stretch only your hamstrings for 30 min a day?

    • @jobacusmovies
      @jobacusmovies  Před rokem

      Thanks a lot Gregor! Yes that's all I did, various hamstring exercises, for roughly 30 mins a day, the progress comes over time. Sometimes you feel like you are going backwards, but try to push yourself every time you do it (without risking injury) and you'll make good progress

    It advise tomdo a 5-10minute warm up like cardio because it warms the muscles and makes it easier to stretch further..
    try tickling the back of the knee to make it straight.

    • @jobacusmovies

      Does sleep have anything to do with flexibility?

    • @jobacusmovies
      @jobacusmovies  Před 2 lety

      To be honest, my sleeping pattern hasn't always been great, I sometimes go to bed very late at night (2/3 am). But for sure, if you have a regular sleeping pattern with a minimum of 7/8 hours of sleep every night, you'll progress faster, in almost every area
