The critical curse is a myth made by the community, saying that any game that tries to remake critical adventure or critical strike will fall someway or another, popular ones usually fall this way. It is said that before EpicCritical died, he put a curse in his critical games which is why its called the critical curse.
All I can really say if the devs for critical legends isnt doing some shady shenanigans and if they actually pursue the game aka update it implement new ideas and overall nurturing the game I think they can possibly break the curse

Yeah, I'm a bit concerned about the Critical Legends, especially spent some hours to it and had fun with it. I managed to even get the Immortal Sword. But I am hoping for upcoming Countless Worlds to truly break the curse, even without 'critical' to its name lol.

I agree, I played it a day and had a blast with it, I got the Immortal Sword and leveled back up to max, and got every class in the game except for the unobtainables, I really hope the game doesn't drop, I've played pretty much every critical game and it's really sad to see them die just like that
Truly is, as someone who's been playing Critical strike for the last 7 months now only discovering the things behind it MAKES ME REALLY hope that this breaks through the curse

I was incredibly surprised at the combat mechanics of Critical Legends when I first played it. Thought it was gonna be the same as Critical Strike and was completely different.

What happened to each game
Critical Strike: Owner is permanently gone, game is popular recives no updates due to his absence, devs have handed down the game to newer devs which have continued the game and is still popular
Critical Adventure: Owner is permanently gone, no players
Critical Adventure Remastered: Owner stopped updating, dead game. He is now a prominent dev in another popular game called Balanced Craftwars Overhaul and adds some references in there (I make content in BCWO mainly now)
Critical Expedition: Don't know what happened to Owner, dead game
Critical Tower Defence: lasted 2020 to the end of 2023 where it had it's last update, still popular
Critical Legends: Owner resigned and there is another one, has gone through massive drama, exploiter situations and deaths, but has revived and currently the most popular Critical game so far
Iirc the owner of CE ran away with the money to buy a sword and didn't pay the dev team causing drama and the game to fall

I find it impressive I played all of these games, one after another, and they were struck down, one after another.
Not gonna lie thinking countless worlds is gonna go really far since it has a lot of originality and the map/enemy designs are so unique
yeah i have some faith in cw, i've grinded to max during the most recent stress test and even if it was grindy, it was pretty satisfying and fun to get late game weapons. i cant say that for most roblox rpgs
hope they dont close off the game to the public for an eternity though, people would lose interest
man they really need to put an anticheat for these games tho i saw people giving tokens, classes (even gamepass ones) for everyone and its just that on critical strike which i like that game most. And then the critical legends. You can change to any class you want, get every actives, passives. (event and black market ones too) They are just too op. They really need to put a good anti cheat on these games. I cant resist the hackers anymore.

Critical Legends actually grew extremely popular due to a couple of really small youtubers making content on the game. You, Abstract-RBX, TSL Studios, Zenitsu cL and many more. Although it's been dying down a little, after the data wipe I believe the devs may put out another update.
I guess you were right, game sits around 600-900 depending on the time of day and reaches 1000 during weekends
There is another critical adventure game too which is in development still, probably the reason why you have not heard of it or why it isn't in here is cause they closed testing since around halloween. But it is really nice and the testing was really smooth and had some nice features, no class statues though, rather weapons you craft or obtain through killing monsters. Honestly the most detailed one I've seen, but then again I have not tried the legends one yet.
The battle mechanics are unique and fun and overall feels fun to play I hope this one will stay for as long as possible

Critical Legends is really fun but there's about a 50% chance its going to fall to the critical curse because I feel like there's a lack of endgame, they might be working on that but, just because it got 20k players doesn't mean it can drop, like heroes ultimatum dropped dead after about 6 days so....

Actually good news, Critical Tower Defense is still being worked on due to the creator wanting to come back to it. So it hasn't actually succumbed to the curse yet

around like 2 or 3 days ago critical legends had to get moved to under the group page and re-released with a data wipe because hacks went ahead and gave everybody every item, class, and mod class, and hackers also nuked the discord.

Me and friends play critical expedition it was a good game it only had around 17 to 20 players it was fun soon we forgotten about it now it has blown up
I never knew about critical games until I found CS, and I never knew about the curse, so I thought the CS creator was just a normal creator and never thought this could or would be happening behind the scenes. So I wonder, will they ever update CS again?

You should make a history of Critical Strike games, there were a ton of variants back then, like Deluxe, Origin, Lockdown and Classic
I have pretty much moved on when making videos on critical games cause I don't play critical games except cs anymore, and I've found success making videos on balanced craftwars instead
What I'm saying is since I stopped playing critical games, it'll be harder for me to make a video on them since I don't know much information on them, compared to balanced craftwars which is play basically everyday now
I hope you can understand me and its been a good 4 years of playing hundreds of different critical adventure and strike games

I only played critical strike, didn’t know there was a trend to make a game with its style.
The entire critical strike drama happened in like 2018 or so (when cs was still in v4 and a little before psa dropped)

I dont remember the name but there was a remake of Critical strike before the last major update went live (when the game almost died) that was called project something and I remember there being some drama about the owner of it also being a pede aswell

btw critical legends had this glitch where it gave you everything (excluding levels and classes) + over a billion gold, the glitch isnt happening anymore but people still have the money and items

Critical Legends has actually, now that exploiters have ruined the game, they had to reset everybody's data. Hopefully it doesn't go much farther than that though, and we continue to have updates on it.

It's painful watching every critical adventure game rise and fall
To edit this: critical legends had a quite downfall and was close to being dead because the server got nuked/raided/hacked and the devs didn’t find the main game safe because of hackers being able to access mod classes so they moved the game. The reason why the game died was because they refused to do a data restore to anyone
I really miss the old days of Critical Strike before the drama, way back when the lobby was just a bunch of portals and everything was easy to grasp and play against.

Critical Adventure: Remastered was just funny at the part where it was really noisy lmao
I played critical legends a lot but for some reason the game stopped saving any data I made Past lvl 100, any classes and lvls and items I would get would be gone when I leave the game, and when I come back it brings me back to my original save to when I was lvl 100. This made me end up quitting the game
same tho except i couldnt go past lv 27 for days
The critical curse may strike at critical legends sooner or later, the reason I say so is because the game is really going downhill with bad updates, expensive stuff, grindy things (like who tf would want to sit there grinding 250 of an item from a boss with 100m hp), and bad owners banning people for the stupidest reasons, also the fact that they don't take any good suggestions from the community which really ruins the game a lot, not to mention HOW UNBALANCESD THE GAME IS. Seriously tho, Critical Legends' downfall may come soon in maybe around 2024-2026 and ill be surprised if its still up by then.
(They are also extremely money hungry, thats why the drop rates are so low and the requirements are so high, so that they get the premium payouts of premium players)
I've grown a slightly bad opinion on the game and other fellow youtubers who used to make videos in cl, mainly due to how the dev team used to be friendly and nice and went to money and popularity hungry, I hope they learn from this mistake soon

Fun fact: Radi, the creator of Critical Legends is making a version 2 of his game "A Mystical Adventure."
Well critical legends fixed themselves, when I tried player some hacker gave everyone every single thing in the game and as you said the hacks from the old game still worked so the creators/devs decided to just copy and paste the game to a different game basicslly that hopefully prevents the hacks
I feel like it’s fitting that the critical curse is caused by the owners of the games. feels like it’s connected the the original guying being off his rocker
