I listened to the conversation overcome with emotion, not just tears of sadness but tears of much deeper understanding of how little we have been taught and, in my case, how a Macaulay education has removed me from the true and layered meaning of Dharma. I realise how at every moment in my life I have not always looked deep inside my conscience nor have I learnt that life’s challenges MUST be guided by the essence of our epics. Their stories and the challenges that their heroes face are lessons for our own lives every day. I cry because I am learning now, at the age of 80 what I should have been taught at 18. And I cry with regret - but also in gratitude for the truly honest conversation you have had before us. I am touched and gladdened and so very grateful. Thank you.

Nothing to worry. According to our Purva karma only we get things in our life. But you are blessed to learned dharma at this age and at this birth. But we should be firm that dharma is only protector not our money, power, property. So we need to save lots of good karma which will protect not only us, but also our generations and our next birth. Do not worry, god knows when to give, what to give, who to give. Our job is to do good karma through our heart, our thought,.our words. Everything is dharma.

Oh my bhagvan! What an enthralling conversation! I recently came across Vinay's video and was spellbound by his grasp of our mahakavya-s and his power of articulation. Now I am a big fan. And of course, Prakash ji exemplifies what an Indic artist should be and am always pleasantly surprised by his pointed question and arguments. My only wish is that more and more of our young minds listen to people like these and learn to grasp the real import of our kavyas and the relevance of their teachings for the current chaotic world dominated by nonsense of imported Western "isms", esp, its current avatar, Wokeism. To be an evolved human being with expanded consciousness, one does not need to look elsewhere. Our ancients have given us plenty!

What a beautiful conversation between two very Dharmic erudite persons. The insights given in this conversation on the deeper meaning of Bhagwan Rama's Leela in this world gives a wonderful Dharmic perspective. I am richer in Gyan after listening to this.
My Pranams to Vinay ji and Belwadi ji. 🙏🙏🙏

In adyatma ramayana, rama takes dual role as pure paramatma and pure man... Before going to please sita by catching maaricha, the maya ponman, rama asks sita to hide her atma swaroopa and present before the bhikshu as maya sita😊

I have always been puzzled about the timing of Rama s coronation. Why did Dasaratha choose the time to do it when Bharatha was away? Was he subconsciously remembering the original promise to the kekaya king ?

The story is of Rama the king. Rama the husband is subservient to the role of the king.
    Sad for Seetha the wife.
From the advaithic perspective, I feel we have to go beyond the male and female roles to reconcile to the "rajdharma" of Rama.

Although many flora fauna geography etc have been verified, epics r poems, not biographies. No-one can know verbatim private conversations thoughts emotions of so many characters over so many centuries. Due to mixed up memories discrepencies interpolations happen. Cant take folk tales too literally nor will it b in logical sequence. Dont over analyze each word, sentence.
Valmikis were kushilava swapach bards, nor rushi. Rushis and princes dont wander on streets singing and badmouthing own family. One needs to first understand psyche of people, which can be gathered ftom other sources like Yogasutras, Vedanta, etc. Rigveda says asuras are noble tapasvis, rakshas are guardians of dharma hence not evil.
Doing tapa in vana was norm not exile.
Siv puran says Ravan was tapasvi achieved siddhis, hence not evil as chittashuddhi, or saatvik cleansing happens and genes upgrade.
In Saiva philosophy tantrik vidya, that all ancients practiced, apahara doesnt mean kidnap. Hara is Siva. Apa is water. Thus it means divinisation of inner waters. Connotations changed over time. Pati used to mean leader, later kalyug became hubby.
Ancients personified concepts used figures of speech allegories in art, sculpure, literature. Eg: Vanara were tapasvi renunciates living in vana, not literally monkey. But they practiced markat Kishore Nyaya form of bhakti.
Dharma is metaphorically a bull standing on 4 legs in Satyuga, 3 legs in Tretayuga, 2 in Dwaparyug, 1 in kalyuga. This applies to all citizens. Hence, all are good etc so no point in singling out just one as maryada purshottam.
Devis devas avatars arent literally humans or animals. They are supernatural energies experienced by advanced tapasvis after activation of kundalini during meditation. Its important to understand meanings of key words.
Ravan was Arya, Brahman by practice not merely surname. It was part of everyone's duty to mentor next generation which included women, who too have to do their swadharma to improve prarabdha, try for moksa or exit from samsara.
Sita, Manthra, Kaikeyi are warrior yoginis, not bitchy or helpless.
Dont retrofit kalyug and abrahmic values on them ignorantly.
Agni is allegory for yagya and tapas not literally going in fire.
Many brahmans proudly claim lineage from Ravan. They are not all sentimental fools. Rare texts say Ravan has to be invoked before Visnu worship, because he is dvarpal, similar to Kirtimukha.(check online)
In ancient system, all went to residential gurukulas and were mentored after graduation. Mentors and mentees lived like family. Not biological kids.
All these dialogues are imaginary. Just like Shakespeare who wrote plays on Ceaser doesnt mean he was eye witness.
Similar for Mahbharat. Draupadi wasnt disrobed. Refer to Yajur veda.
Read genuine scholars, not just amar chitra katha or ignorant swamis.
Both texts have bits that echo Vedas that ancients practiced.
