Faker still here on the top and making world final 2023, is what represents this songs fully.
Legends never die was meant for the semifinal series. A rematch of faker and ruler in worlds, where ruler was just 2 matches away from the golden road. Faker will take revenge for the flash ult in 2017 and Gumayusi won a 1v2 against Ruler and 369, and won the series 3-1 against JDG
Everytime it gets near the next Worlds Finals I come back to watch its openings, I'm all chills and tears with this one. Just amazing.

Tf is wrong with people with negative comments. Nobody could perform such a high pitch song infront of such large audience perfectly, without pre-recorded track playing in the background. And Chrissy had the confidence to do it live. She performed the high pitch very well too.

Also people are insane if they consider this pitchy. Sure it isn’t 100% accurate to a fully edited sample, but she more than makes up for minor inconsistencies with just power instead. Most live artists can’t even belt their songs this accurate, and they still crush it. Outside of an extremely small list of singers (tori Kelley, Mariah Carey, Alicia keys, Bruno mars, Justin Bieber surprisingly etc) very few singers are borderline robotically accurate like that. It’s just not how the human voice works

She wasn't nervous, the pianist started the song at a lower pitch so that she doesn't tire her throat while singing the high notes. This is normal in all live performances.

Also, although you're technically correct, acting like autotune hasn't become a common synonym for pitch correction is ridiculous.

This gives me the biggest feeling of pride I've ever had as a gamer, heck I never even played this game! I cant imagine how people must've felt who were there as fans, hence even the players themselves
Stunning! She was really off in the beginning but after she landed back with her group, she starting owning it and once the teams came in and dragon left she unleashed the legend within and gave her lungs away
The fact that she is out of pitch for almost the whole song proves that shes singing this live......

She's performing in a stadium not in studio. She needs to scream instead of singing in a relax way and I felt pity for her she needs to rush her way to the centre.
You can tell when she's walking down the steps in the beginning that her voice is literally trembling. She gets a little bit more comfortable towards the end, but too little too late. Still, she got up there and did her thing. Can't fault her for being brave.

Haha, quite so but don't discount yourself. It's easy to go off-tune during a liveshow. I've sung at events and bars and it's hard to hear myself over the loud music and (sometimes) crowd cheers. That's why singers use in-ear monitors too but even then, anxiety can still throw them off.
I mean her voice might be tired to considering she plays in a band and she is out touring alot. she should be used to big crowds.

Such a monumentum moment in League history. Setting the best opening ceremony we've seen and one of the most iconic songs to come out of Worlds. Hope we get to see Ruler in the finals again this year vs Chovy or even Faker again for their finals rematch. Think 2017 really was the changing point in league's pro scene, SKT and SSG meeting again and SKT being dethroned that then leads into the next few years where everything is being revamped, new champs, EU and China are stepping up, really changed everything people knew.
Synth Riders dlc brought me back here. This is still my favourite bit of Augmented Reality ever. The cumulative gasp of the audience when the dragon swoops down gives me empatic goosebumps every time.

3:00 when the dragon lands from it's hop you can hear a light "clack" which I'm guessing is supposed to be it's nails hitting the stadium. The attention to detail is amazing.

Dude she started rough but she HEAVILY recovered!!! I was very proud of how she recovered. Doing low vocals live AND WHILE WALKING are hard, no matter who you are, then you add the nerves in with a massive crowd? Yeah, not shocked she messed up at first, but she brought it back strong!!! I felt so bad for her, she looked disappointed in herself, but she should be happy she finished so strong! I wanted to give her a hug!!!!! They should have NEVER had her walk in that beginning part, that's bad on the person who choreographed the stage performance - not her!
