This is way more grindy than most of the yugioh games Iâve played. Sacred cards was my favorite gba game
This game was one of my favorites growing up! The best way to grind early game is to challenge Yugi in the card shop because he drops Exodia pieces that sell for (relatively) good money.
This game always throws me, because I remember getting it, playing it, and owning the promo cards, yet I never remember it being called this when I used to play it
Are you sure it wasn't one of the other gba games? They all basically look the same, I had a similar situation but i waa thinking of the sacred cards
@jakethasnake3524 it was the sacred cards. I thought this game came with the Riryoku, Negate Attack and Moth, but only the international releases apparently. TSC had those promos in the US so that was definitely the game I had
I played a ton of 2005 WC, it had a battle city simulator. I liked it a ton as a kid, but when I replayed on emulator I noticed the card pool is weird. Itâs GOAT but missing some cards like Chaos Sorc, but has BLS and CED. And the AI was generally bad at the game, so I switched to 2006 which was much better but no overworld
I think there is a mod you can put onto your iso to get rid of the spastic card checking at start of every turn, not positive but saw something like that a few weeks ago

Try the duel academy game if you get the chance. It's not hard, but the feel is pretty good. Story is GX though, which might be a deal breaker.
Can you do Fusion in this game by overlaying cards like in Dark Duel Stories? Should make the early game easier.
Unfortunately you can't.
