    I just purchased this model but have not yet used it. However, I want to give you a few words of caution on assembly.
    My wife are both pretty handy with assembling items like furniture, etc. But from unpacking the parts to final assembly, it took the two of us 7.5 hours to put this unit together.
    As many other owners have mentioned, the printed instructions are VERY difficult to decipher. There are no words, only light gray over dark gray illustrations. You would think that after spending $2,000 on anything that you have to assemble, it would buy you a better manual. What saved us was searching here for assembly videos. There are a couple of decent ones. But it will still be a struggle to out together.
    You will end up with a LOT of packing material. Kudos to Napoleon for a very clever and functional way of packing this unit and its many parts. But the final result (for us at least) was a full sized wooden shipping pallet, several large plastic bags, and a TON of cardboard, some of which are rather large pieces.
    One big tip is for the self closing doors. Two of the videos we watched showed that you remove the hinges from the cabinet, attach them to the doors and then reattach the hinges to the cabinet. Why? It's almost impossible to rehang the doors. Best just to attach the doors with the hinges already in place on the cabinet.
    Lastly, this grill will take two people to assemble. When it comes time to lift and set the grill and hood portion to the base, it would be best to have a third person. This thing is heavy!
    Overall, we had all the parts we needed, the fit and finish is very professional and the quality of the materials is top notch.
    Now to see how it cooks!

    I suggest saving money and go with a different grill maker. In the 3 years I have owned the Prestige Pro Series, I had a small issue that my dealer took care of within the first few months. I am now having trouble getting a regulator from them and I will have not been able to use my grill for the past 4 months and now I'm told the regulator is not available until some time in January.
    Quality built my A@.

Thanks.

    BBQGuys, Do Prestige Pro 500 have more than one models? Cause I see a bid difference in prices. If it is so, are they all of the same quality. Is the one you are introducing the most expensive one of the series? What about the lowest model of the range? Is the stainless steel for all models of the Prestige Pro 500 range a 304 quality? And ARE THEY MADE ALL IN CANADA? I am trying to decide whether I will go for the Prestige Gas Charcoal 605 model or the Prestige Pro 500 DEPENDING OF YOUR ANSWER. Personally I like very much the taste of coal and I hear there is a definite difference in the taste of meat between coal and gas . But because I live in between pine trees I am worried of flares produced. Can you please advise me. Many thanks for your time and the wonderful video.

    Great review! How does the napoleon prestige pro compare to the Blaze LTE premium? Any big quality difference? Does the napoleon have a stainless steel hood inner liner or is it porcelain enameled/painted?
    Does the Blaze have a lot lower height to the hood and Rotisserie spit rod? If so does it make a big difference if one were to cook a turkey on it? Does one flare up more than the other? Thanks.

    How does this compare to the Blaze 32LTE 4 burner stand alone grill?
    I'm in the market for a new grill and debating between these two. I have concerns of flare up with the napoleon and their deign of flavorizer bars and the large cut outs on them vs the screens that Blaze has over the top of theirs plus what appears to be a better designed flavorrizer bar. Also, cleaning these boxes how difficult one is or isn't.
    I want easy maintenance with best grilling experience.

    • @BBQGuys
      @BBQGuys Před 4 lety +1

      I would say the Blaze is a bit easier to clean with it's full width drip pan. I also have not had any flare ups with either of these grills. I do like the sleeker look of the Blaze and their burners better. Both are great grills.

    Hey folks do NOT purchase the PRO665. Unless your into scrubbing the interior of your grill. I've owned one now for 3 months. Purchased it on sale late December 2019 and just began using it at the beginning of the covid pandemic. Napoleon changed the rear hood design which allows for grease to seep between the stainless diverter plate and rear hood. Napoleon has refused to acknowledge this design flaw and will NOT provide any solution to the issue except that the owner must clean and scrub the interior of the grill after every 3 uses. Thats a chore in itself and a messy one too so I've found out. It sucks!

    One question, is it easy to clean?

    • @BBQGuys
      @BBQGuys Před 3 lety

      Best method for any gas grill is to "burn it off" on high after cooking for a few minutes. This will reduce the debris to ash, then brush the grill down. Of course always empty the grease pan as well. Just as easy to clean as any gas grill in our opinion.

    I enjoy your reviews. One thing you don't cover, possibly because you only see the grills new is ease of repair. The Napoleon has a lifetime warranty (parts only) but it is only a matter of time before the burners rust out. They will send you new ones but it's been my experience that the screws rust and it is difficult or impossible to get them out to replace the burners. The Weber doesn't have that issue. I would rather own the Napoleon because of the side burner and I hate to admit it the LED lights but I'm concerned about replacing the burners.

This grill has some quality issues, and when you spend over $2k for a grill, you expect top quality parts. Yes, the aluminum base, burners, heavy stainless grates, etc are good quality however thing like the emblems, electronics, ignitor, parts lining up etc. are failing within first few years and while grill has lifetime warranty it's only for a few main components not the entire grill. The pro also gets 304 stainless doors and side shelves instead of 430 stainless on the prestige. The pro also gets a high top oven lid which may come in handy if doing a large bird on the rotisserie.
      The pro also gets some gimmicky things like soft close doors, interior grilling lights, etc which are nice but far from a necessity.

    3 years after purchase, Numerous parts are failing on my Napoleon which indicates lack of quality:
    The black inscriptions indicating which burner is controlled by which knob is rubbing off everywhere, electrical outlets in back no longer have spring closure (broke), the plastic rings on the burner controls are cracking, the temp gauge reads 200deg F even when its 40 deg outside.
    I contacted Napoleon directly to ascertain warranty coverage...2018 models had Lifetime Bumper-to Bumper Warranty which covers some things indefinitely, some things for 15 yrs and many parts for 2 years. As a COURTESY they would supply me with new decals to place on the grill (cant wait to see how that looks), and the rest of the parts would be at a discounted price! I expressed my dismay that an allegedly premium product with a premium price point would want to charge their customer ~ $100....this amount is miniscule compared with the $3500 I paid for the grill and accessories... This $ 100 is not generating any real revenue for them but is generating a lot of bad will for the customer. Napoleon's representative Kat did not care.
    I would definitely consider purchasing a grill from another manufacturer. At this price point, customer service and standing behind the product is imperative; sadly Napoleon has not figured that out.
