Lord Gordon's Reel played by Orlaith McAuliffe (tin whistle) and Colm McGonigle (harp) at The Herschel Arms, Slough. Recorded in November 2012 by Willie Fogarty (Comhaltas Live).
I can only think that Orlaith's taking the flute and whistle to such high levels invites other musicians to imagine greater attainments with the music too. Colm's agile playing is a great mix with the whistle, of rich chord runs, depth and tonal balance, in that reel. That was only two instruments, and it sounded like an orchestra.

It's not only the speed of fingering that makes her a genius on this instrument it's the timed cuts and rolls Perfect rhythm . She is to Whistle and flute what Joe Satriani or Keith Richards are to guitar. Easily up there with Vinny Kilduff and Mary Bergin
