Melanie, oh God it was...like I've been into kpop for over 17 years now. Yea, that old. And let me tell you, I've never seen a leader like chan, who's the exact reason why I became a stay and they're the only group I decided to stan after all these years in kpop. What he said at the end was fulfilling and heartbreaking at the same time. Like..how much did he had to go through to say that...its baffling. I'm still in that space as well, emotionally very much..well you'd understand. I think the reason why I stanned them after all these years is because they found me..not the other way around.
There's a saying that stray kids will find us when we need them the most...I didn't understand that until the concert. They really find those people who are lost and makes them stay. Just like how they made me stay when I felt like I didn't belong anywhere... I just appreciate them so much. With them, i feel it's not just a fandom and idol relationship. Its so much more than that...they really do find those who are lost and makes them stay through their music and more. And I think thats what chan meant by ' you make stray kids stay'.
I'm saying this here because I really do appreciate you Melanie, coz you talk about them with so much love and kindness. They truly deserve it. I have told you this before and I'll say it again..you make me closer to them than I was yesterday and I'm so grateful for that. You truly remind me why I'm a stay. So , thank you so much. All the love ❤️.

I'm gonna cry again... I'm SO tired of Chan being the main target for criticism when he's the leader every group would dream to have...
His strong words on Sunday... They may felt all of a sudden but, for me they weren't. He has to carry so many weight on his shoulders and anyone has given him where he is. He has earned everything for himself and his nonstop work...
I felt protected, and understood, and so many feelings at the same time I burst out crying exactly like my poor Felix did.
I love these Kids with my whole heart and soul and they deserve all the good things in the World.

I have less than 1 year of kpop experience in general and being a Stay (I found them like a couple of weeks after getting into kpop). I am happy that you as a more experience kpop fan write exactly the same as what I feel, because sometimes I was thinking that I am going too crazy feeling that to SKZ.

I'm still not over this concert, even thinking about it makes me tear up. I think that saying it was heartbreaking but in a warm way is a good way to describe it. I think I'm still overwhelmed by all the emotions, it was a rollercoaster. It's going to take a long time for the whole Stayville to recover from it, it was an experience we won't be able to forget, ever. I've been a K-pop fan for over 9 years now, and I've stanned a group before, but with SKZ it is on another level. I love these guys so much, they make me feel things I've never felt before. I want them to be happy and feel loved. So seeing them break down like that broke my heart. I'm sure there were not all sad tears, some were happy ones, but still, them just crying their hearts out and being so raw with us was a lot. A very bittersweet moment. But moments like this make their bond even stronger, and we, STAYs, are lucky enough to be part of this. I wish them all the best, and as Chan said, I'll be forever thankful that they found each other and that we all had a chance to meet in this universe.

32:42 so straykids had performed Placebo before in their debut days, i think it was on AAA 2018 (cmiw) where they wore the infamous JYP plastic outfits in that performance lololol. Of course its not as bad as the seen-through plastic pants Jyp had wore, but it still left a bitter taste for them ig lolololol they're just so cute! It would be good if you check on that performance Mel 😆

I spent the whole of Sunday consumed! I was adoring the performances and they just kept leveling up and then they had to attack me with emotions. I adore this group and their relationships and I think I just fell deeper in love and respect for Bang Chan. I love how after they cried he said 'you've just seen something very precious' to us, I feel like that sums it all up. We saw how much performing means to these guys and how much they mean to each other- I just keep getting emotional. My other emotion was: wow do Lee Know and Han come alive and shine on stage my goodness. Lee Know has been growing on me increasingly but goodness that concert, ugh.

also yes, in Japan number 4 is kind of unfortunate, because one of the readings is "shi" which resembles the word for to die or die which is "shinu"... this is why Japanese prefer the other reading for the number 4 which is "yon" (same goes for number 7 which has a reading "shichi" so Japanese preferably use the "nana" reading). ok nerding out is over xDD

And you have chan with his first stray kid "han" they are adorable, lee know and seungmin the devorced couple, their relationship is one of my favorite, seungmin and i.n they are adorable together, felix and han " September twins", han and hyunjin from "don't bear each other to can't be separate from each other", and changbin with han my fav, han has always been waiting for changbin's hugs and changbin treat him like a real big brother without much affection but have said that he is thinking of him the most out of everything

Honestly watching the 3rd day concert (via Beyond Live) was honestly the best 4 hours of my life. Also yes, all the beautiful moments that happened during this concert was some of the most heartbreakingly wholesome shit I've seen in awhile. Like I'm not much of a crier but them boys made me eyes waterfall during their last ment. 😅

When you said they had healing smiles, I AGREE!! It's not just their smiles though, I feel like it's literally their aura, just a part of them basically. I don't know what it is but they do heal and cheer me up. I love their personalities, their relationship with each other and with others, their versatility and duality...Honestly everything about the group
For next reactions I recommend: 2 kids song but knowing you and your thing of making longer reaction videos this could either be on 1 compilation or 2 so I recommend "The 9th", there's 5 seasons of it it start with them moving to a new dorm when they debuted and Stray K Subs have all episodes subbed/captioned since I don't think The 9th season 1 has ever been subbed on SKZ channel. I recommend this: The SKZ-TALKERS are more of backstage behind the scenes for performances and lot longer and still ongoing so that may come later on but the're equally fun here
P.S. The Finding skz season 1 and 2 do get blocked on youtube... I think it's because it's uploaded by M2 channel which is strict about copyright stuff

Hey Melanie! You said you haven't seen much of Changbin and Lee Know, so here is a short blurb of their relationship: both of them are called the rabbit siblings, and considered the loudest of the group. There's a super funny compilation here is the link: czcams.com/video/qdJkXAZFIkw/video.html They are also two of the older hyungs in the group, but while Changbin is essentially the fake Maknae (with his adorable aegyo), Lee Know doesn't seem like an older hyung but a same-age friend to the other members. They are both also extremely responsible despite their funny and chaotic personalities. Changbin is the "core" of the group, as they called him in an interview recently, while Lee KNow is basically their other leader. You should def watch that clip I linked above. Its soooo funny haha!
I love this duo so much, I love seeing bunnies siblings energy when they are together, but in this episode seeing them being so cute to each other warms my heart!

Hi Melanie.. First and foremost I love you ❤️ and I love your reactions. I have been a STAY since 2019 and they found me at the darkest time of my life. I too have been a kpop fan for a long time (since Shinee " Ring ding dong" era basically) but never really stanned a group.
But with Stray kids, it's been so different. Maybe it's cz I'm Aussie or maybe it's cz their videos made me laugh through my tears. I just don't know what it was but it's a feeling thats difficult to explain. Anyways, before I write an essay here, I just wanna say, THANK YOU... THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the love and promoting their music.
And yes, the final day concert killed me. They really have the ability to make you smile through your tears. I cried watching every clip and every feed afterwards on insta. I just wish they come to Australia soon...
Honestly I think being Aussie definitely helps you to connect to them differently. I don't know what it is but the aussie line make me feel at "home". It's sooooo special!!!

I'm honestly still in recovery from watching the live stream on Sunday. It was so intense and everything rushed by so quickly that I couldn't even process any of the emotions in the moment. Kinda feels like a fever dream now.
Oh and something I would love for you to react to is the "One Kid's Room" series that they did. Although it was over 2 years ago I feel like it gives really interesting insights about each of them, since it's the rest of the group talking about each individual member. And it's only 8 short episodes, so less confusing than the many seasons of 2 Kid's Room haha

Yeah that concert was amazing! I cried so many tears at the end, especially with Chan & Felix omg! I love these guys so much, their bonds are something I've honestly never seen before and I'm so happy they have each other. Like you said, they're very healing!

Fandom Tour is a good series to pick up next. Only 4 episodes but full of great moments. Mysterious Kitchen & Up All Night are also good mini series to pick up (3 eps each). The vlogs are definitely a must! The talkers have some of the most iconic moments but there's a lot of them. The talker-Gos are my faves bc its when they go outside of Korea, the Australia talkers are the best!

I was recovering from the last day concert and on Monday, Felix’s mom posted on her IG and trending on Twitter.
She wrote a very lengthy posting on how she continued to support the boys and calling them her 8 sons. It was so overwhelming and I cried again.

I still can't get over the concert. Love love love the whole concert, from the start to finish! It was indeed a roller coaster ride. Our emotions were like.. up and down and up and down. I started crying when the boys went over to hug Chan and Chan was trying really hard not to cry. But anyway, so proud of the boys. They were fantastic!
ok back to the video haha. These 2 episodes are just full of adorable and funny moments. The mixture of the universes, the way they did their presentations, the games they played and how they chose their partners. All the kisses they wanna give to each other hahahaha hilarious! 40:22 korean has lot's of Chinese language related. In Chinese Language(and also Korean) death is "(죽을) 사 (sa)" and "사(sa)" is also the pronunciation of number four in Korean so it's like a word play☺️
To be honest yesterday was the first time ever I postponed watching you video. I knew you would comment on the concert and I have been crying so much on Sunday and Monday, that I decided that least on Tuesday I won't cry. But then today morning I saw your post on Tweeter with the comment of a Stay under this video and here I am crying again, thanks god before putting make up on. I have been messaging with my non-kpop friend trying to explain why kpop fandoms are so invested into artists and what makes Stray Kids special in my eyes in the kpop world. But I myself have too few experience, I have been into kpop for less that a year, but then this person with 17 years of kpop experience writes exactly what I feel and I feel happy that I am not getting mad, ha-ha.

사 means 2 things in hanja which is 4 and death so I’m not sure abt china or japan but in korean 4 is considered an unlucky number and in some places “floor 4” intead of writing 4 in the elevator they just write F.
Stays are unbelievably spoiled with content so there are way too many series to catch up on haha
One suggestion I have aside from the official series is perhaps checking out a few episodes of SKZ-Talker? (not in order, there are too many unless you run out of content which... will likely never happen lol)
Maybe you could make a community post or something asking for which episodes of SKZ-Talker are people's favorites
They're usually behind the scenes footage from music shows, performances, concerts, promotions in general, etc. and not many people react to them because again, there are so many of them, and they aren't scripted so it's not a typical kind of variety content
But there are definitely episodes I think would be fun for you to react to! Lots of goofing around and singing and all of them just being dorks which we love to see :)

Yes 4 is an unlucky number in Japan (9 as well). This is because one way of pronouncing 4 is Shi which means death. I was taught to say Yon instead for most occassions.

- The bit with Felix bonking himself on the table and startling Hyunjin at the beginning is an inside joke. He has a bad habit of hiding under tables and then beaning himself when he tries to pop out. He split his head open -- on live stream -- once when doing it (which is where we got one of the instances of him saying "f*ck" on camera).
- Yeah, the 붕어빵 they're talking about are essentially the same thing as taiyaki in Japan. Regional differences/preferences and all that, but they're a borrowed food. (I also just now realized they wrote a questionably romanized version of it on their fish drawing: BBungAPang. 😆)
- "Air-plane." Yes, _aeroplane_ and _airplane_ are pronounced a bit differently, though it's harder to hear if someone has some form of British-English accent, since the "o" sound is much less pronounced and tends to just sound like a schwa, whereas a GenAm accent would fully or almost fully pronounce the "o" sound.
- 30:41 It's a camera operator. If you watch this enough times that you can start spreading your focus around, you'll notice that there are cameramen behind, like, every possible piece of furniture and greenery in the room. It looks like some old-timey comedy sketch where a guy carries a bush with him as he tiptoes across a lawn or something.
- 32:19 Changbin's talking about "책임져," which Hyunjin, Felix, and Seungmin did with members from NCT a couple years ago (czcams.com/video/QBLCTYHCx5A/video.html ). They performed as basically The Cute Cheek-Touch Boys, and it's eye-crossingly bubblegum cutesy. They did a bit of it at the fanmeeting a couple months ago as well, but afaik those are the only times they've done it, so I'm not sure where Binnie is getting the "we" had costumes part, but maybe he's thinking collectively. 🤷
- 32:45 The only live Mixtape 1/Placebo of any note that I know of is the 2019 The Fact Music Awards (full cam for full stage: czcams.com/video/CDQDYvtTobI/video.html ; broadcast version for a better look at the outfits: czcams.com/video/e9SPocAHsUQ/video.html ) -- neither of those links is official, so you should be safe if you decide to react rather than just peeking off camera (although there's not a lot of point, probably). And granted, it's a lot of silver lamé, but they might be overreacting a teensy bit. The costumes weren't _that_ bad. They were just a touch lounge-singer-meets-hiphop. Unless they're talking about a different performance (other than one of the fanmeets or the time they did it in, like, a shopping mall), in which case I missed it and have no idea where the costume horror is coming from.
- Yeah, 4 is unlucky in both Korea and Japan. "사" is homophonous (as is Japanese "shi," but my kanji and kana are basically nonexistent) -- "four" and "death." In both countries, it's from the Sinitic linguistics influence.
- Minsung choosing Changbin for the wildly different explanations of the same reason ("he looks like a jock" vs "he looks brainless") will never not amuse me.
- The sock game: another reminder of when I mentioned long ago that Lee Know will _always_ think outside the box with games/competitions and considers permissible anything that's not explicitly forbidden. He and Bin clearly discussed their strategy before they started; they knew exactly what each one was going to do. And if you watch Lee Know during the Chan/Seungmin round, you can see him observe and then make a plan; he never bothered paying close attention after that round, because he already knew what he was gonna do. I love his approach to thinking about things.
- Vlogs, Talker, Talker Go, Finding SKZ, The 9th, ♥ Kids Room (yes, with the heart emoji), Mysterious Kitchen, SKZ Del Luna, All Night SKZ, the auxiliary dance practices (eg: All In baseball version, Back Door uniform version), making films, Fandom Tour, the Intros, guide vids, Spot Kids: Black, God's Menu Cooking Video, Back Door Opening Video, the Highlight Reel (or maybe you already watched that; not sure), 댕냥스쿨로... That's just off the top of my head. They never stop.

Also the 4(Sa) thing is because of the pronunciation. There is a Chinese character 死(SA) which means death so it was thought of bad luck from a loooooong time ago. If you watch 40:06 Han says “Death four!” which is 死 but the translation was interpreted as “four is an unlucky number”.
