They’re doing an incredible job imo, maybe lacking a bit in articulation but overall amazing. Just waiting for a 2021 mecha Godzilla to be announced and more toho stuff.

I agree that this won't kill Monsterarts. However I just sold my SHMA 2019 Godzilla, Mothra and Rodan and my 2021 Godzilla and I don't regret it. I have Hiya's first 2021 Godzilla, I have the updated version pre-ordered from Entertainment Earth along with a new Mothra and the new fireborn Rodan from BBTS. I am all in with Hiya when it comes to the Monsterverse. But as long as Monsterarts is doing Showa era figures I'm sure they'll be fine. I have their Gigan, he's nice (over priced though) I want '72 Goji but that price is intimidating. Also I know people are excited for Jet Jaguar, but $100 is asking way too much in my opinion. Also the joints on my SHMA Monsterverse figures were SO stiff and that plastic is so ridged I was afraid of breaking them if I moved the shoulder or the thighs, or Rodan's wings. They're supposed to have great range of movement in their articulation but I could never get them to reach their fully intended potential. Hiya figures are so much nicer to handle.
I completely agree. I love their showa and Heisei figures, but I think Hiya has the edge. I want that too and I might get it to review but yeah that’s a lot lol
In my opinion this is the best MonsterVerse figure for the 2019/2021 Godzilla design. Admittedly when the first Hiya 2021 figure came out, I thought the sculpt looked great but I thought it was slightly overrated but as time went on, I grew to love it more but the updated version does blow the original Hiya 2021 out of the water though.
@CepiTheNomad I'm hoping for an updated 2021 Kong because, to be honest, the original Hiya 2021 Kong is the only MonsterVerse figure I don't like. The detail just doesn't look great compared to the Sh Monsterarts and the articulation isn't that good in my opinion.

I just got my 2019 version and it's AMAZING, if you don't count the 2 main qc issues, 1:The paint for the mouth spills over to his right side jaw, and 2: his tail has 2 articulated joints that are literally so stiff they can't move, and the rest is sadly kinda lose so I can't just use a hairdryer to fix them
If you’re still looking for a sturdy stand for Godzilla in a swimming pose, I recommend checking out the storm collectibles clear stand. The claw(s) is spring loaded and very heavy duty! I think you can buy them packs. You’ll need to use at least two of them for a hiya Godzilla but they will absolutely hold one up!
Epic figure! Hiya should get The licenses for Rayharryhausen And make something like the Rhedosaurus And gawangi. Also would be cool If hiya made a Methuselah figure From the 2019 Film that would be cool, And the other Titans. Also the new empire Figures from hiya will Be really epic

Hmm that’s a tough choice since I haven’t gotten my hands on the pre evolved yet, but from the pictures (minus a few nitpicks) the pre evolved paint job looks a step above. And thanks!
@@CepiTheNomad Finally purchased the 2021, but i'm planning to buy Shimu in the future so i'll get the evolved version of Goji to pair it with him. Regular Godzilla with Ghidorah and suck in your gut Godzilla with Shimu. Best of both worlds :D

Yeah it’s a significantly better sculpt, it’s awesome that Hiya goes out there way to update figures.
