So in short, a "Blessed Random Loot Box" gives you what you want, and a "Cursed Random Loot Box" gives you what you NEED. He wanted her mother to wake up, hence the key. Later on my guy also gets teh other box and you'll be surprised what he needs

Every hunter in south Koreo is part of The hunter association when it comes to trading market, gate locations, gate purchase and emergencies but mostly hunters that are not part of a guild are usually mobilized by the association to take care of smaller gates in their neighborhood that guilds dont buy (to prevent dungeon breaks) so most hunters who live in the same neighborhood usually take care of gates together that's why they know each other already in episode 1 (they are used to clearing gates with the same faces of people most times) unless it is a gate too powerful for one neighborhood to take care of. Korea is not as common, so the Hunters Association can only call in hunters from area to deal with it. Due to attrition (the 5 lost in the first couple episodes and the however many lost in the 4th episode) ending up with the survivors of the D-Rank Double Dungeon back together is coincidence, not convenience.
Baek yoonho the Wolverine looking guy is guild master of white tigers guild and choi jong-in the glasses guy is guild master of hunters guild and cha hae-in is vice guild master of hunters guild and all of them are s ranks that as it was mentioned in ep 5, only 4 mysterious s ranks remains of the total 7.
So, a weird change in the story from the Webtoon, the old guy swordsman in his dojo, in the Webtoon they have his student be Cha-hae, except they hid her face, since she isn't really shown yet in the Webtoon by this point. I will say, Cha-Hae's character is kind of wasted in the series, which is one of the few... weakpoints in the story, IMO. All the S-Rank that are active in Korea all have their own Guilds, except for the "Hunter's Guild" with the glasses guy and Cha-Hae (Blond Girl), the only guild in Korea to have more than one S-Rank, which allows them to kind of... outperform the other Korean Guilds, making them the top Korean Guild. The Retired S-Rank guy is alive and was the primary candidate choice for Guildmaster by the Construction company, but he declined, Cha-Hae was also attempted to be scouted, the ninja guy from the first episode prologue, with the claws and lightning powers, is one of Korea's S-Ranks, but he died in one of the Raid attempts.
Completely agree with you that the support characters like Cha Hae-In and Han Song-Yi didn't get enough attention. Song-Yi has more to do in the webtoon, but she completely drops out of the story after [redacted] in the light novel.
