I appreciate that! I try to take a sims 3 university approach to playing uni in sims 4, because it felt like there was always a party or some activity going on...at least that's what I remember, I could be romanticizing lol.

When your game "freezes" (clock stops and you can't do anything but sims keep just moving on the spot) it means there's a last exception bug happening. You just have to wait it out until you get the orange notification. x

I’m not sure if you are familiar with these two mods but they are very helpful for realism purposes. Lotharihoe Sim Spawn Mod OR Kuttoe Home Region mod. These mods keep sims in their home worlds. So no more random pop ups from sims from other worlds. I will say that the Home Region mod did take me a bit to figure out how to use but it was worth it. It stopped the immersion breaking. The mods conflict with one another so you’ll have to choose one or the other.
Thanks for the suggestion! I believe I tried the Kuttoe version before, and it wasn't really working out for me the way I'd hoped. Sims with existing jobs were showing up for service roles and none of my homeless sims were showing up for anything at all. Could've just been my lack of experience with the settings.
