The reason why they releases it early to youtubers is 1. generate hype, 2. test for bugs, and 3. get feedback to make balance changes. And what they did is realized that the odds were too good and changed it. It also doesn't seem that scummy considering the fact it doesn't cost money to open.

opening the can of worms again I am 100% certain Slash Royale was incompetence. Two things the gold wasn't lost because you can't evaluate 100k to go from lv12>13 since for slash royale, it was 50k, making it cheaper than post slash. Since CoC only uses gold, I am certain when they first worked on Slash Royale some random employee probably rebalanced card needed to level up but forgot to account that they were effectively deleting cards post the lv14 update if you just saved them. If anyone noticed all they had to do was something like halve cards required to level up and convert the rest to gold sure cards are still functionally deleted but you'll have gotten so many cards to lv13 it would be hard to argue that it wasn't an overalll good thing.

Real progression in this game is done through the grind of getting items and levelling up cards. It makes sense that people getting months and months worth of items would get a harsher punishment than someone who made a minor inconvenience to the game. Its also weird to complain that the content creators got a lesser ban then follow that up by complaining that they did get banned. I have a lot of issues with this game, how the progression is structured and how much faster you can progress by paying, but people exploiting the game in a way which is unfair to everyone and permanently boosts their account makes more than enough sense.

I feel like a lot of this is biased 😭 Exploiting an extremely strong glitch is an extremely fair reason to ban people. They made the mistake of treating content creators better, which got changed to the appropriate punishment. It could be based on profit, but considering it also makes the game VERY easy for exploiters makes it somewhat clear they’re actually trying to enforce the rules, which they should.

It’s really crazy that instead of taking the blame for not fixing this exploit before people found out or even fix it and leave it at that but ban every person who took advantage of it bc of how p2w this game is
Supercell will go in lengths to ban everyone who abused a glitch that gives you valuable items that cost money in the shop and while doing that ignoring problems that the community has begged for a long time to be fixed are ignored.

I stopped playing when the new pass system was implemented. Since I m f2p I felt like now all who still payed for the pass truely got ahead and were not locked behind their own skill.

Exploiting an extremely strong glitch is an extremely fair reason to ban people. They made the mistake of treating content creators better, which got changed to the appropriate punishment. It could be based on profit, but considering it also makes the game VERY easy for exploiters makes it somewhat clear they’re actually trying to enforce the rules, which they should.
I did it once and didn’t get banned
If they just said "we hear you, maybe that was a bit too unfair and we are going to fix it to gain your trust back or at least some of it" then maybe I would be more forgiving but instead they claimed it was an accident and now are rectifying the issue which means they don't have any integrity and maybe we should without being toxic to use the the hashtag #supercelltakeoffthemask on every post relating to any supercell game until they learn to not be bad people and that they should either be an actually good company or take off the mask and never put it back on because I don't care that they are a scummy company it is that they are trying and failing to hide it like we know you only care about money stop trying to trick us into believing you are good people
Yep, sounds about right. They don't care about the game being broken or exploited, they care about it directly affecting their profit. Abuse a bug that negatively affects other players? Ignored, could care less, they only care about making the latest card release stupidly OP to get people to spend money on the game. Abuse a bug that affects their profit? Instant permanent ban, don't you dare mess with supercells cash stack, how dare you circumvent a $20 overpriced virtual item, how will their CEO live with just a 9 million dollar bonus this year instead of 10 smh, they can't even buy their third yacht this year. But seriously who in their right might issues these bans, I can't imagine it was just the dev team, unless they majorly suck up to corporate, this was more likely the suits doing, or the heads of the dev team or whatnot, I'm sure they have a quota to meet and would easily sink their reputation as a game down even further and hurt their playerbase over a loss in profit. They didn't even have to go scorched earth over this either, I'm sure they keep backups of the server and could've rolled things back before the glitch was abused, it would've probably still caused outrage but it would've been a lot more understandable than mass banning, but nah it's easier to just ban everyone and set a precedent for anyone who even thinks about messing with their profit.
