I truly appreciate congregational singing without drums and secular instruments. All of our voices need to be heard from the Lord not just a chosen few. I will surely listen to this often. I prefer congregation over choirs. Im 60 years old and upon my growing up this is how it was done.

The church of Christ follow Paul's inspired comandment of the Lord for women to keep silent in the church.
So how silent is silent? Does silence mean that a woman's voice should not be heard period,
If a woman's voice can be heard in singing then why not in speaking like I said how silent is silent?
1 Timothy 2:11-13 describes how women should be silent, yes, but that is referring to the fact that women should not lead the worship service, but she should learn in silence with all submission. Ephesians 5:19 tells us all to sing and make melody in our hearts. So it is not a matter of women singing in general, it’s the fact that women can’t lead a prayer, song, or teach a sermon, because God gave Man authority over women to lead the church. And you can continue to read about the men’s leadership role in 1 Timothy chapter 3, while it discusses the topic of appointing elders to congregations, and the qualifications for a Man to be an elder

In 1972-74, I attended the Southern Hills Church of Christ in Abilene, Texas. And I will never forget the singing in the auditorium. The walls literally vibrated from the intensity of the voices praising God in song there.

The human voice is the best instrument ever made- it was made by Jesus and for HIS glory. There is no computer or instrument that can duplicate it. I have sang acappella all my life both in the church and in barbershop. The physics of it is outstanding and will make the hairs of our body stand on end when the harmonies create overtones. Couple this with words from scripture and inspired poetry. Wow. Oh wont it be wonderful there.
