Hi! Tama po di biro ang pumasok sa Computer Business. I had tried computer rental po. I learned a lot about hardware, software and networking at passion ko po talaga ito. Kaya lang along the way if kung hindi clear ang ROI, unti-unti po siyang going down the drain. Ngayon naintindihan ko na lalo pa palang mas mahirap kung Computer Sales. It is really a sad truth to learn all of this. Pero ganon pa man, Kelangan updated nga tayo palagi sa industry. Thank you for giving us a glimpse behind the curtain. Isa pa humanap ng reliable source ng supplies. Ung hindi ka gagatungan ng mataas ng presyo. Buti may nakilala akong supplier na hindi ganun kalaki ang presyo kaht na hindi bulk of 10 and up ang kinukuha ko na supplies. 😁 Swertihan lng tlga sa pag kuha hehe. Nag start ako as tech ng desktop and laptop. Nung nag ka funds na saka ako nag register sa permits etc, plus supplies.

Crazy bundles. If you buy a high-end product like a GTX 3080, distributor will offer to add bundles? What's the point of Nvidia's advertisements if they're going to fall behind AMD in attracting consumers? This marketing approach is fundamentally flawed and can lead to losses for both the store and the distributor. Furthermore, it undermines the distributor's credibility in front of their bosses. The boss's goal is to distribute as many products as possible while they're available, which is why they invest in their stocks to secure more deals. If it's true about the crazy bundle, the store owner will be the first to question their distributor's judgment for including unnecessary items. In such a scenario, it's up to the buyer to decide how they'll sell the products. If they can't sell them, they can always replace them with their distributor's products, opting for items that are easier to sell, especially during tough times.
Guys, what if I tell you that I am the one who manages to supply my company's products and I solve some reports about this kind of issues on our end? Scalping our products is not our fault; it is because of scalpers around the sellers. You must find a better supplier, distributor, store, or seller for you to get a good value. Now I know the reason why some stores are not selling it right at the end for consumers. Marketing is not hard; it may vary depending on how you treat your consumers. God gave us wisdom; cherish it with no abusive manner.

Sir did you trained po ba to learn those things like compatibility of pc parts, how it works, etc. ? Or you just learned it from the internet? I always wondering how did you know it than those IT technician whos field is in hardware.
As a computer technician sir, I can say mas maayos talaga may experience ka to know about compatibility than relying on the internet. So for me experience as a technician is the best way to learn about compatibility.
Btw you're right that not all technician have the knowledge about compatibility. But I suggest that you should not generalized your point.

IT here po pero nag focus muna ako sa web development and designs since 2010 pa and clients ko puro taga ibang bansa. USD earner ako. So nakapag isip isip na po kasi ako lately na I need more source of income at passion ko rin talaga eto since college pa. Kaya may lakas na rin ako ng loob mag tayo ng computer store dahil malaki na yung income ko from my current IT online business.

Since you have IT software as main stream of income I doubt you can manage the store as hands on as your software venture kaya I may suggest a higher capital to hire skilled or professional staffs. Prepare siguro around 5-10M to test the waters, for decent store and beyond that kung gusto mo po maging competitive sa mga existing stores. Most of the existing stores specially with high end parts instock nasa 15M above per branch ang average inventory or rolling capital. I highly suggest, na mag research ka din how is the profit sa mga retail stores since not to discourage you... quite marginal compared on how much you earn sa software - I'm referring sa net profit. :) But still a good venture kaibigan. If regular computer store 1-2m pero di pa sapat to have high end products on hand. Pag may high end na halos kumpleto na lahat around 5m. If gusto mo po 80% complete from high end end to entry level around 10m pataas po.
