- Vince Gill Is one of the best Vocalist, Guitarist, Songwriter and all around musician in Country Music Today! Whether it's as a solo artist or a member of groups like The Eagles, Pure Prairie League or The Cherry Bombs Vince Gill's star always shines. Could he be the next legend in country music? Put him right up there with the likes of Merle Haggard, George Jones and Hank Williams? Only time will tell.

Guitar Collection • A Tour of Vince Gill's...
He's a legend artist NOW. even more important he's a genuine humble REAL PERSON.
I think Vince is arguably one of the worlds best guitarists & singers !
I have always loved Vince Gill & he can sing anything....🎶🎸🥰
Vince is a living legend at this point. You know you’ve made it when George Jones gives you a Nickname “Sweet Pea” in Vince’s case. From his early days with PPL to his early solo material he has managed to carve a nice place to stand in the music industry! Thanks Doc! Oh and yes I have seen his guitar collection and it’s a load of museum quality instruments that simply put, is amazing in its own right. Go back and listen to his early song “Everybody’s Sweetheart” one of my early Vince favorites. 🎶
Best combination (singer, songwriter, guitarist) in country music history. And I can assure you, he’s one of the finest human beings I know. His heart for people is as big as his talent.
A precious soul w/ God given talent and a gift to all. A blessing to us all.
I did not know a lot about Vince Gill and wasn’t familiar with his music until I happened to catch him on Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival. What a talent.
Joe is never hurt. He is great with or without the eagles
i like vince gill. i remember vince with pure prairie league & solo.
I've never thought of Vince as a Country music legend, but as a Music legend period! Vince told a story in an interview about being asked to play at a Crossroads Festival by Eric Clapton. As far as I am concerned if Eric Clapton wants you to play at his Festival, you're a legend, period. Thanks RD, great video bud!
He is an all around talent for sure. Thanks for watching Ferd. Appreciate it.
WHEN I CALL YOUR NAME is in my Top 10 of my favorite country songs...I can tell you where I was the first time I heard it! An amazing "she's gone" ballad!
A friend of mine, Phil Bradbury has built many amplifiers for Vince and Stueart Smith of the Eagles along with Paul Franklin. Phil has told me some intimate stories about Vince that are very heartwarming. I hope to meet Vince one day and maybe even play some music with him. I’ve been a fan of his since the Pure Prairie League days and always will be.
Both are very talented 😊
Thanks RD! your always thorough and accurate. Vince is a legend round these parts.
You're welcome. Thanks!
Good video Doc, thanks! Vince is an amazing guitar player. And his voice blends great with others. He has that gift!
Hey Doc's! Great Job on VINCE, he really is a kind hearted Soul as he seems to be
I have never met him personally but my Dad has, some of my best friends and family and many more.
I think I have some videos of him with a really great Steel Guitar player and son of the Franklin Steel Guitars, " Paul Franklin", one of the most popular Steel players and on more Albums than I could count, including Dire Straights Brothers in Arms, whitch he was ask by Mark to come to Do a tour with the band in Europe, witch he did!
But VINCE is what this is 😂, sorry brother I get going!!!
God Bless and will catch up soon! Your Music-In-Law 🤘🎸🤠
Thank you kindly Ryan! Appreciate your support!
What a fantastic video have a wonderful weekend Doc ❤❤❤😂😂😂❤❤❤❤😊😊
Well ,he probably learned how to ' mime ' as part of Eagles line up ? According to many ,many reports ,that's what they do now ,on stage in concert !
Vince Gill doesn't have to "mime" as you call it. He is 10 years younger than Don Henley who was caught lip syncing to the song Desperado, Vince still has his voice. And the only report is the one song.
Many thanks River Docs✌️
You're welcome Dimebag!
I'm 72, I've played in bands all my life. I can't really call Vince and Joe 'peers', they are both way more accomplished than I am. But they are in my top 5 favorite people, and musicians. Peace --gary
As a guitarist, Vince Gill is certainly NOT in the same league as Joe Walsh. C'mon!
@@fritzb43 Joe has the best timing and feel of anybody I know. What he does not play is as important as what he plays, and he has some great chops. He also has huge hands and fingers, that makes some things hard to play for him. Don't get me wrong, he's a master with what he has to work with, and one of the nicest guys I know! Vince has great chops also. He can play anything at a very high level with great feel, and also plays mandolin at a high level. He worked for years as a studio musician, playing guitar. I think the difference between them is Vince has a "country/bluegrass" mindset and Joe is more "rock/country rock". It makes a big difference when choosing your licks and phrasing, modes etc. Same league, different team. 8) Peace --gary
I always enjoy your documentary videos, Doc…even if I don’t know the artist. Thanks so much man! I’ve loved Joe Walsh (no relation) forever. I dunno…I guess I just think of him as a Eagle or solo. I also haven’t paid much attention over the years, which is another reason I appreciate you, Doc! Thanks buddy 😎👍
Thanks Dirty Pat. I appreciate it!
Vince Gill gave Pure Prairie League their first radio hit since Aimee way back when Craig Fuller was still with them. My favorite iteration of PPL though was between Craig and Vince. When they had Larry Goshorn on lead guitar and John David Call on pedal steel. Their songs Two-lane Highway, Lucille Crawfield, Harvest, I'll Fix Your Flat Tire Merle, Kansas City Southern, and Memories are their best work they ever did. Craig Fuller's Jazzman is another good one but that mid-core lineup was, imo the best kept secret in 1970s Country Rock music scene.
Great story as only you can tell em Doc. Thanks again.
Agree. Loved PPL back then. Thanks for watching Plant!
@@RiverDocsnever miss your videos Doc. Can't seem to be around for your live feeds but I never miss your videos.
Take care and may God Bless you.
As always VERY GOOD video!
Thank you! Cheers!
Check out the liner notes of Chet Atkins and Mark Knoffler's colab album. Vince Gill is listed asvocals and guitar. Im sorry, but Vince Gill is a Nashville Cat. He can play guitar with ANYONE. Check out his tv show doing Liza Jane with Danny Gatton and Albert Lee.
Talented but not a Vince Gill fan, but an Eagles fan.
A nice enough video tribute to and summary of the career of Vince Gill? But it completely fails to answer the question used in the title, “ What’s next for Vince Gill?”
Wasn't he Boomhauer's singing voice on King of the Hill? Great episode either way, sir!
let me..let go..with faith hill
Makes me wonder (with his personality) how he could stand being around the narcissistic attitude of Henley.
Well, Don Henley won't let him sing any Eagles songs, that's for sure .
It sure helps his bank account
I doj’t see that this does anything for his ‘career’. He didn’t need them in the first place but I won’t listen to them with him any more than I would have had Frey not died. POS most of them.
