Either Russia has something on Trump, or Trump is just the useful idiot for them, and there's the brainless MAGA crowd that's trying to defund the support for Ukraine, but there is a group of old line Republicans that understand the importance of supporting Ukraine. However, these Republicans are somehow derided as RINO and are often at risk of being overwhelmed by the MAGA crowd. I think Ronald Reagan would look upon these "Republicans" with shock and horror. In any case, I don't have any love for Mike Johnson, but from what I can tell, he understands the importance of supporting Ukraine, but the brainless idiots held the Sword of Damocles over his head. I think he finally made a deal with Biden and the Democrats wherein he allowed the vote (and subsequent passage) on the Aid package, but the Democrats had to protect his speakership if/when the MAGA crowd comes for it over the Aid issue. I think that's why the Democrats stepped in when MTG started making noises about Mike Johnson's speakership again.

Regarding the Stormshadow software, if the memory chips that store the software are not destroyed then in principle it is possible to access and reverse engineer the software. This is standard stuff for computer hackers. Key thing is that the software will be encrypted in such a way that it is hopefully impossible to recover the original code. Won't stop the Russians from trying though.
