I'm a cosmetologist and there is no way that her hair grew and locd that fast. She definitely added extensions. Her hair texture is very soft so it takes a long time to actually lock ..Not sure why she lied.
one thing I slightly disagree with is the part about the soft texture... I have three textures, and the soft texture loc'd A LOT faster than the rest of my hair. like A LOT faster. Yet, Im not sure why the lie occurred either.

My mothers has had locs since I was little. I’ve never seen someone with faux locs wash their hair with four shampoos. Locs are supposed to be low maintenance. You don’t need all these products for locs. This isn’t a good loc routine at all. People that want to start locs I eager you to look for advice somewhere else. This is too much work for something so simple .

Whoever allowed her to do this segment should be fired. It is highly offensive to anyone with natural hair to watch someone with OBVIOUSLY fake hair insist that it is natural. It isn't that serious to lie about it. Using 4 different shampoos in one washing is absolute murder on natural hair, which is probably why she can do it because she is taking care of fake hair. I think that IS her hair. Hair grows at a rate of 6 inches per year and when its locked, it grows even faster. She said shes been locked for a year so this length is definitely possible!

The picture that they showed was definitely with extensions. 6 months is only enough time to grow about 3 inches. Maybe 6 tops if she gets an inch a month (which isn’t common) her bob would be much shorter than what was shown.

these are wrap locs, a form of loc extensions...interesting. I agree with getting someone with natural locs or even traditional loc extensions to fully showcase the beauty of locs. As someone who has started their loc journey with loc extensions, you will definitely be raffling a lot of feathers having someone with wrap locs of all types of locs being a rep for the diaspora. Overall it is nice to see more of mainstream embracing locs

All she said was that she STARTED her locs 6 months ago. She never said that her locs were authentic. If they were installed 6 months ago, then technically, she STARTED them around that time. Unless she said that she started "GROWING her locs" around that time, I don't see how she's lying. Everyone's loc routine is different but this process made me cringe. To wash once a week with 5 different products... Less is definitely more for a loc care routine to prevent build up!

I have always loved Eva's style but not her personality. She said that's all her hair but that's not true. Maybe four inches but the rest is extensions using the wrap method. If she had it done by crochet method she would have got away with it. She should have kept her mouth shut about that's all her hair 🙄

@@incokneegrow2880 I have locs myself and do locs. If you look at the length of her hair you can see hair has been wrapped. I have done the wrap method for extensions and the crochet method. The wrap method looks fake and is easier to do but they look just like faux locs. The crotchet method is time consuming and harder on your fingers but they look real and it's hard to tell. With her money and her celebrity status I'm not sure why she didn't use the crotchet method if she was going to claim they are real. I guess she wanted the curly ends "the Lisa Bonet look". Not many loc stylist are doing crochet with curly ends. Granted the crotchet method is pricier too but I'm sure she can afford it. Plus she is only shoulder length so it shouldn't be that expensive. Loc extensions are also charged by the length you want. The longer they are the more expensive including how many you get.

This is stressful to watch... idk if I’m going to be able to finish. Super annoying. Keeping reiterating “being a black girl”, “you know us black girls.” 🙄 I follow her on Instagram these are not homegrown. Her hair wouldn’t have loc’d that fast or at all with this kind of routine if they were natural. Lastly all these damn products... extremely unnecessary. She’s still learning.

Her hair is definitely cute but it’s hard to know how much it’s actually grown since she does have loc extensions. In her defense loc extensions can be permanent and not temporary like faux locs lol
