@@Megaalith Merle Haggard was in San Quentin when Cash performed there, Cash, himself, never served time in any state prison. He had been arrested a number of times, petty crime, criminal damage, drunk-tank stuff, that sort of thing, but never served hard time.
Interestingly, it was Cash playing the famous show at San Quentin that made Merle Haggard decide he wanted to be a musician. He said of Cash, "Any man who can out perform five strippers, in an all male prison, I want to be just like that son'bitch." - (There was a strip-show as the opening act of the San Quentin concert, by request from Cash himself. "Give the men something nice to look at, before they get a glimpse of me!")
When asked why the prisoners, were so receptive to Cash, Haggard said, "He identified with us and he was the kinda guy that might've been in there with us, if things had gone the wrong way for him."

Johnny and Eazy-E. Gotta love that combo. Although Johnny did go to jail for being caught with those uppers, he never did actual time, but the way he tells the stories through song, you can feel it. Eazy of course, he did live that gangster life before he rapped for NWA. Both these guys are badass.

If this was mastered, clearer and more bass this could hit charts. The cash hook over that beat is insane

DJ Topcat is the best mixer. Almost all his stuff is wiped from the internet, but luckily I burned a couple dozen of the best onto a CD about a decade ago. Just gotta find a way to play it now lol
