Floors 3-6, not near the exit, at the end of the hall. Good advice ! Also, bring a door stop if possible and place in the door when you are ready to settle in for the night. This may prevent someone from coming in while you sleep.
You may use whatever furniture is in the room as a door stop.
You can purchase door stoppers with alarms on them.
@@vincealtez A small flower stool, for example, is certainly not suitable as a door stop. ... It is always more effective to clamp a suitably sized chair with the backrest angled under the door handle especially if the room has carpeted floor. To be on the safe side, you can place a flower vase made of glass, ceramic or porcelain on the seat close to the edge to wake you up if this vase falls down and shatters. If you fill this vase with water, the chance that it will actually shatter is significantly higher, simply because it is heavier and the distance from the seat to the floor is not so great that every vase ends up spilling if you don't increase its weight significantly.

My first tip so you really act. Buy and read 'the gift of fear'. Great book about using your intuition to get out of harms way. Many stories and examples. Written by a guy who worked in police or personal security, I don't remember.
That's floors 2-5 in European counting. That horn is a great idea but it is enormous. I like small gear. I have a purse that would hardly close with that thing. Also something in my pockets would be great. I'll look into it.

Always lock your luggage! I was staying off resort property when I went to Disney (ALWAYS STAY ON THE RESORT PROPERTY!) When I was in the park the first day, someone went through my luggage - I assumed it was the cleaning lady who was the only one who could get in. If you ever go to Disney - stay at their resort. Please. Everything is SO much easier and safer!

Great advice to know for the future on which floors it is best to book which rooms ... the problem is that from now on all of these recommended floors and rooms will always be fully booked all year round and of course the criminals now also know these recommendations and will take this into account ... good luck espacially to all more paranoid people.
Maybe it would be worth considering choosing the hotel quality one or two levels lower than has been done before because with significantly higher quality hotels it is of course always clear that only higher-earning guests stay here who can afford the expensive prices and such guests always have valuables and more cash with them. ... OK, then maybe you should dress a little more modestly so that you don't continue to be seen as a higher earner. This is almost always recommended, depending on where you are and what you are doing, you don't have to show that you are doing well financially all the time and everyhwere. It's not so bad to be seen as less of a show-off either, which is definitely more advantageous in everyday dealings with other people.

Air horn? Or 9mm? I get he's trying to help women "feel safer" but just as in this video the air horn didn't work. Law biding American Citizens have the Protected natural born right to self defense and should exercise it! Really mentally put yourself in the situation he described, do you want your children's lives to depend on a air horn? Or the capability to physically STOP the criminal from killing you and kidnapping your kids. Just my 2 cents

@@nellymalone2802 tell me what? I am a responsible concealed carrier, and yes lethal force is ALWAYS the last resort. this scenario calls for last resort defense. I never said to ride around town shooting your gun in the air. There is a time/place/situation were deadly force is NECESSARY. Not a air horn.
@@aquablaster86 I don't think the situation does call for last resort defence. The situation is that they suspect they are being followed - they don't know for sure, so to turn around and shoot someone who may have innocently been walking to their own car is terrible.I agree the airhorn is silly as I think if they had bad intentions it wouldn't deter them, but the idea of it, similarly to a rape alarm or pepper spray isn't to be lethal, but merely to protect yourself, rather than causing irreversible harm to someone whose intentions may have been innocent, or if not are unknown.
Air horn is a good idea....it's not a prohibited item.
You'll be in violation of the law for bringing firearm outsiders your home jurisdiction.

That does not work if a person want to come after you I sound horn or blow horn is not going to stop them if you don’t have a gun or if you not an expert Hand to hand combat skills For an example judo expert karate expert, martial arts expert, or train as a boxer. Some form of special skills in hand to hand combat .
Hit and run or startle and tun in this case. I have done martial arts but I will always avoid a fight. And especially when I am alone with my kids. I will tell them the plan in another language. I have had many situations but I was always by myself. I have often defended other women on public transport. Fortunately until now. Loudly telling them to piss off was enough.
