  • Want to start investing in the stock market with very limited capital? In this talk, Nikhil Kamath, founder of Zerodha and an expert in the field of wealth management, breaks down investing in the stock market for complete beginners, mainly at the college level. He walks us through four distinct approaches to this, and talks about his views on the future of the fintech sector.
    Nikhil Kamath is a man who has risen through the ranks and left a firm indelible mark on the Indian Financial Markets. Aged just 34, and dubbed 'India's youngest new billionaire', Nikhil Kamath has walked and conquered many paths in his life. From leaving school to play chess internationally to teaching himself stock trading, Nikhil is the embodiment of grabbing life by the horns and dictating its direction. Our next speaker at TEDxBITSHyderabad 2021 is a man who has risen through the ranks and left a firm indelible mark on the Indian Financial Markets. Just aged 34, and dubbed 'India's youngest new billionaire', Nikhil Kamath has walked and conquered many paths in his life. From leaving school to play chess internationally to teaching himself stock trading, Nikhil is the embodiment of grabbing life by the horns and directing one's own life. In 2010, Nikhil, along with his brother Nithin Kamath, created Zerodha - a revolutionary start-up that would grow to become India's largest brokerage platform. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

    My advice is always to keep the majority in ETFs that cover multiple sectors. Then have a couple stocks, as a small percentage, picked out that you feel personally attached to or interested in. That way you can mitigate a lot of the risk but also have a personal touch to your portfolio. I feel this mitigates some of the emotional downsides or disinterest people have with investing. Also helps with the urge to constantly buy/sell with fluxes in the market. Grateful i have an adviser at this point. major Thanks to Rita Wildrin Mora.

How ironic 🙃. Just because merely some of the students top the class that doesn't necessarily mean we shouldn't send other students to the school 🎓
      Risk is everywhere. It's about the risk and reward ratio. If you are willing to take more risk, then the reward would be massive. On the other hand, the chances of losing immense money are highly likely, if we get it incorrect.

    Earlier Indian markets are Pretty democratic because there are no single big player out there.
    Unfortunate but institutions call new comers as Robin Hood trader but the thing is you really can't justify it just based on there investing patterns hedge fund and big invester now have too much grip on markets because of margin going to negligible. This will also affect STCG in a big way and not in anyway lucrative but India's large country there will be someone who is going to putting money and then going to lose it against big funds because there will be less active trader with a small penny and no margin.
    Anyway they call bitcoin and ethereum illogical investment but share market also is not purely fundamental look at a stock prices not in any way justify their price I will rather put my money in ethereum Bitcoin than to put in bank stocks and reliance share banks Ki v phati toh ha Ki bhaiya hamara kam tamam hona bala ha kuch haad tak. • @kike5950
      @kike5950 Před 3 lety

      @@jatinsingh3396 hey jatin every currency in this world is back by some sentiment like power, economy, political stature of country, patriotism these things kind of pump up the value beyond reality and which led to over dependence on one currency in present scenario it's dollar and it's kind of pain for the world because usa bares country for use of dollar which means u have to keep usa happy over your national interest. But bitcoin it's unregulated and in finite number which makes it acceptable for world to adopt it .
      At end it's just about believing what will bring more value on table just because RBI or usa treasure dept put thappa on something or market calculate valuation of share doesn't make it antim sach same with bitcoin
