U.S Navy ALL - 1951900

Played on ARCADE 0.239, with 30hz auto on buttons 1/2.
This is the 1.5 update to Area 88/U.N. Squadron, and makes the game a bit harder to clear due to longer missions, less leeway when you take damage, and bosses.
I used the F/A-18 Hornet & mostly picked up green weapon items since it seems like the most powerful w/autofire.
Score is mostly from killing enemies & not buying items if possible for a high money payout. There also seems to be a shop bug where it's possible to buy items w/o being charged $$ if you're quick enough, which is a bit silly. WR scores tend to use autofire macros for the joystick/lever in conjunction with this.
