For the camera I had to change another camera setting before I could get the offset.
Accessibility > General > Motion Sickness and set to Allow Dynamic Camera Movement

/run SetCVar ("nameplateSelfTopInset", .54)
/run SetCVar ("nameplateSelfBottomInset", .40)
in ur chat and it will make it not move anymore, it controls the range in which it can move and as long as the difference is smaller then 0.08 i think it will not move
can also do
/run SetCVar("NameplatePersonalShowAlways",1)
to even show it outside of combat at all times

Press and hold casting is a buggy mess currently, especially for Firemage where it can make you double cast flamestrike (Edit: I mean fireblast) even with the slightest tap on your button, which you really don't want. It can also instant casts spells with target circles every now and then making you misplace your AoE and other stuff.
It doesn't work on macros, so you should just macro spells you don't want it to work on. Plus flamestrike should probably be on a @cursor macro anyway.
It’s buggy across all classes. It isn’t consistent.
If you did 80 casts manually from testing hold to cast will make you miss around 10 gcds give or take so you will miss out on casts
I would keep accidentally blinking twice with barely a tap.
It will also cause you to immediately cast anything with a targeting reticle or template at your mouse's current location, rather than letting you aim the spell.

The hold to cast feature was reported to have a slight delay between casts which leads to dps loss.

If you want more vibrant color, it's hard to beat a wide-gamut (AdobeRGB) monitor but with the input being sRGB. It distorts the color profile slightly, but in a really good way, I find.
Note: Stuff that's predominantly white, like most websites and documents, is less pleasant in that configuration. Dark mode is advised, or change the monitor's setting to sRGB (cumbersome).
For games, however, it's magic, particularly for something like WoW that has so much to offer in terms of color.
I play with a controller on my couch on my big screen tv and I absolutely love action targeting and the interact key. I still have to have a wireless mouse to click through quests but, it’s a really fun experience.

I have an issue in Dragonflight have you noticed when you try to scroll down on the info tab in the game where you can see people's loot for the day and also when trying to invite people especially in large guilds like mine when you scroll down lets say a quarter of the page it shoots back up to the top kind of like when you hit the home button on a webpage and your half way down the page it just automatically shoots back to the top have you had any issue with that or have a solution to fix it?

6:25 - a bit of healer advice here. this is how i do damage and heal at the same time. i target enemies to dps like i would as a dps class but i mouseover heal the raid frames
I even make macros with [@mouseover] heal spell; [] dps spell to bind healing and dps to the same button.
I've had issues with Bagnon where I can't click the bags if the addon is enabled. Am I being new and missing something that I need to unclick in Blizzard defaults?
When using action targeting I find that my right mouse click and hold to look around/steer my toon auto releases a lot and it is really annoying when you are trying to turn your toon or change camera view. Has anyone else noticed this and is there a good fix for it?

I've been giving the action targeting a go, and I find it switches targets when I really don't want it to. For years I've been macroing all my hunter shots, and simply adding a /startattack prior to the spellcast in the macro. This also will Target the Target in front of you, but does not have the issues swapping targets when you don't mean to. No this also works for /petattack.
Demonology warlocks and hunters are op in pvp currently because the shitty action targeting decides that I want to cast my 2.5sec spell towards a pet, even if I've tabbed the enemy player

The interact key has been great. Made looting elementals in swarms of players way easier

hey since the new dragonflight patch , the new fire effects on the ground or in the news zone as being pumping my cpu and gpu i saw my gpu rising at 63c and the ggdr5 ram at 73 c when i was farming in a zone and the mage was spaming this fire aoe on the ground , so idk i feel like this new fire effect is really bad optimise . if u have any idéa to remove this effect or make it less cpu intesive would be much appreciate
If you click a press to cast spell on your bar with the mouse rather than bound button, it operates as click to start/stop mode.

I can't find the Breast physics and BUST adjustment sliders.
These new features made controller gaming pretty sweet actually. The action cam and interact buttons are huge. It's kinda chill to go about questing and gathering on your controller.

Thank you for telling me about the empowered ability setting! Fire breath was driving me nuts all throughout the prepatch lol. Pressing is so much more accurate than holding imo
same, sometimes you press it and it charges as intended, sometimes you press it and you just stand there like a dumbass for a couple seconds because it wouldn't register before having to re-press the key.
Pro tip: if you use hold and click it only once, the game automatically casts it at the minimum empowerment necessary (which in most cases is what you want anyway)

the mouseover addition is a heaven's sent
the personal resource bar is awesome, way better than the default player frame IMO. Blizzard should work on it more since it's so useful and is what converted me to having health bar in the middle - I can't go back ever since I started using it in legion, even if I switch to elvui I have to put that info in the middle now.
I 100% agree with this, very underrated feature of the UI, I wish they would heavily expand on it. Ever found any addons to add functionality to it? Also he's always dogging on it for being dynamic and moving around, but that's kind of the whole point. Keep vital information in view right under your character at all times.

There's a setting that shows the circle of effect from mobs/anyone, i turned it off and cannot figure out which one it was to turn it back on.... and i dont want to turn everything back on to try and figure it out. if anyone has any idea please let me know.
Belluar said we can "do similar for targets as well" in regards to the raid highlighting. Where in the options can we enable this feature? I would love to have a high contrast always on top outline around my target.
Iirc you can find it on graphic options. I don't know if it's called highlight outright because i play in another language.

Hold casting is prefect for a frostbolt mage.
I need a cursor highlight. Constantly getting lost because it’s always held down for movement which removes it from the screen. If I then need to select a target in a hectic environment, it can be a headache.
The click to cast, also works with keyboard keys, for that reason I was able to drop Clique
The polling rate for the hold casting has been discovered to be a dps decrease for players used to keypressing. There's definitely a use case for people who don't care too much about throughput though!
I activated the dynamic camera and I'm loving it! How ever, I have to activate it every time I log back in. Any way to make it permanent?

There is an annoying UI bug with the action targeting where the UI doesn't update the target and instead when you engage a new enemy, the UI still has the dead enemy you just looted selected as a target.
All you have to do to fix that is hit the Esc key.
9:36 - regarding colour profiles, ive tried out Vivid gaming in the AMD driver for WoW and on my screen, an IPS panel, its very vibrant and nice, the shadows are still dark so it might be worth checking out - i can totally recommend
The mouseover feature was incredible during my junkbox grinding for ravenholdt rep. Saved me so much time pickpocketing when i didnt have to click every single mob individually
Should learn how to use mouseover macros... They have been around since TBC... and people are JUST NOW noticing their usefulness... No wonder people have such a hard time downing normal raids.... "Click target single cast players" are the problem.
For example - /cast [target=mouseover]Regrowth or /cast [@mouseover]Pickpocket
@@crisnmaryfam7344 I basically started playing WoW with WotLK and started using macros all the way back then to simplify target priority management with @mouseover having the highest priority. Almost eliminates the need to change my target or focus. Having @mouseover become a default priority is nice, makes it possible to play a healer without feeling an immediate urge to macro everything.
Does press and hold use spell queuing? I think not when I was testing it, it was working like nochanneling macros that it doesnt start the next spell until it finishes on client side and not server side, this will lower the dps of people with high latency, spamming it is still better

Using press and hold doesn't make spells to be delivered any faster than by using the common "buttonsmash" tactic due to spellqueue. If you on the other hand set spellqueue window manually to 0 then the latency would play a role.
13 years on this game and even I learned something about this. Interact on left click or by keybind is game changing
As a rogue, the personal resource display is a really nice thing to have. I just don't get how they missed allowing you to move it around during the UI updates for Dragonflight. It's annoying as it doesn't let me move my action bars as high up as I'd like to.
I turned it off. Since pre-patch it isn't showing combo points correctly. Sometimes it doesn't even show them. Real bummer they seem to have dropped it because I liked this feature.
There are weakauras that can lock it down to a specific place. You can also anchor auras off of it to add cooldowns / dots / etc you want to track.
Hello, the interact key was already in the game it has always been under the "targetting" section. It used to be "interact with target" and "interact with mouseover" and for that last one if you had nothing under your mouse it interacts with your target
With action targeting leatrix plus needs to add an option to silence the sound of deselecting a target because that gets super annoying when you're flying and you're just constantly selecting and deselecting targets.
I use qwerty, asdf, zxcv and shift zxcverdf all for skills and move with my mouse (ive been doing this for years) so i have my interact key set to a mouse button.
I really wish auto attack was a click and hold rather than an on/off. I found myself auto attacking things i didn’t want to, and unfortunately it casting not what i wanted because it was the last thing to be cast. Also, if you auto cast an AOE spell that you need to target an area it would immediately cast it where your mouse is and not give you an option to select the area.
I wish there was an option to exclude neutral units with action targeting.

Mouse over casting was great until I realised if your mouse is hovering over a dead enemy you can't cast. I'm hoping it's a bug. It got really annoying last week while farming pre-patch elementals.
You've said the word, "Bagon" in reference to the addon "Bagnon" in a few of your recent videos. I thought I was crazy and it was just because I'm a dumb American and wasn't understanding you, but I went back in this video a few times to confirm and went back to your UI video to recheck again and I keep hearing "BagON" instead of "BagNON". Searching "Bagon" in curseforge/wowinterface returns no options. Bagnon however returns the proper result.
I'm leveling in Dragonflight with action cam and xbox controller for a nice cruisey upclose more imersive RPG experience. Looking forward to it!
It's worth noting that, per Blizzard, hold-to-cast only works for native spells on your action bars. It doesn't work for macros. You cannot, for example, have a macro that casts Lightning Bolt normally but casts Chain Lightning when holding shift and then expect to be able to hold down the hotkey and continually cast either of those spells. The macro will work as it always has, even with hold-to-cast enabled.
Is there a way to make f.ex. "Display Class Colors" account wide? Right now I have to login to every character and change it if I want it to display this
Those macros with mouseovers are so so powerfull. I work with my druid and shammy wioth only those. moreover u can make one that is dependable on friendly / foe target. Friend = healing spell - foe = NUKE. leaving example: /use [@mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead]Riptide;[@target,harm]Flame Shock

They need to make player and target frames, action bars, as well as buff and debuffs clickthrough via a toggle.
If you mouse turn, you know what I am talking about. Clickthrough for the raid/dungeon if you want....and then disable it for whenever you actually want to click on one of those.

The ability to bind for looting is great, but is there a way to maintain your target after you killed them? If I have to retarget just to use the bind, I may as well just right click to loot
That's what the interact keybind is for.

The looting with a keybind and targeting with a leybind is starting to look like controller play for exploration will be more feasible
My empowered abilities are hold to cast but they keep getting stuck sometimes on press and press. It's unbelievably annoying and dangerous.
“Combine bags” needs to also combine you bank slot bags. Until then bagnon or a similar addon is needed

I completely agree. Bank is horrific as standard layout. Ive used elvui and bagnon forever but trying out the vanilla settings for now. But yeah the bank is brutal. Combine bags has some annoying quirks aswell but liveable

I was so mad when pressing F wouldn't target my target's target anymore... Been using this to heal tanks and dps boss, but also to not pull threat from the tank for 15 years, and suddenly it was making me running to the target...

If you somehow have "heavyHeadMove " setting on (basically moving your camera some angle after your head) and are bothered with it, you can turn it off with this: /console heavyHeadMove off.

I think they just added this part because it worked up until prepatch and they didn't care enough to actually check if it changed.

Yep I'll be running with basically all these features at their capacity - I don't wanna /feel/ like i'm playing a 18 year old game that has the most inefficient dev pipeline in existence while I am play said game. Curiosity is peaked by those Nvidia tools I wonder if I could run the game with an AI filter over it to make it look more interesting ... hmm

dont for get controller support is now in game but tbh consolport is a good addon to make it better they are getting there but still got a ways to go befor the addon is not needed anymore
