Interesting, it's great to watch timber fall, I'm going to watch how your mules are going to pull green wet timber, as always keep them coming, stay safe and thank you for sharing.
Lord willing, I’ll have the video of the mules getting it out here in a day or two…thanks for the kind words my friend and also for always watching! Take care and do come again, please!
Well thank you! I am so glad you enjoyed it. I was worried folks might not like it this particular way. But I am thankful it worked out. Thanks a bunch for watching and commenting. Take care and do come again, please
The camera set up and angles were good to show your work. What I liked best is you explain why you are doing the thinning and also showing the hard work that goes into timber cutting. Very much appreciated for you explaining and informing us in the whole process.
Awesome! I’m glad ya enjoyed it and could find it educational. That’s my idea of it anyway. To show what truly goes into it. Thanks for watching and appreciating it! I really appreciate that. It makes it worth doing…take care my friend and do come again, please!
Really enjoyed the video and the footage was very good. Thank you for the prayers for all your viewers... I am proud to be a viewer of your channel and pray God will Bless you and your family!

So a double tree is where two young trees sprout off of an old stump that was there years ago. And they grow together sort of. Most are hollow in the butts. That’s pretty typical. Hope this answers your question and thanks for asking. Also, thanks for the kind words and also for watching!! Take care and do come again, please
Looks like your buddy Billy The camera shot you had today set up was fine everything look good I'm glad to hear you're going to have the mules to pull logs out be good to see them well I got your email now I'll be hollering at you thank you for everything Zach You're a true friend well I'm going to get out here your friend Billy

I will Zack now I got your email where Gmail I'm sorry thanks again buddy for always being there God bless you and your family thank you your friend Billy
Another excellent video. Good camera angles. You guys have many rattlesnakes in your area? Im cutting a piece here in Pennsylvania that supposedly has them. Has me a bit on edge. God bless ya buddy! Stay safe.
We have a few but not nearly like we did when I was in Alabama. They were everywhere down there. And cottonmouths also. Anyway, most of the time when they hear the saw running…they’ll move on out. Just keep your eyes peeled. Also, thanks for the kind words brother. And thanks for taking time to watch and comment. Take care and do come again, please!
Well just holler when ya can! I understand folks being busy for sure. Thank you ma’am for watching and commenting. Take care and do come again, please!
Where I live is called brush creek lol…Floyd co keentucky..Hatfield&mcoy country…I’d love let you try this .404 880 with LW 36” and feel the torque…im 5’ 9” 125lb and use it so…I packed it with that 47” on my shoulder up the mountain here where it’s steepern one of yer mules faces just to see if I could…had the scabbard on though..that silvey skip square ground 36” rich done is too mean for our oaks but poplar and pine it’s incredible..I’ve ripped massive blowdown white oaks straight into the hearts longways and that beast just digs son..rip rounds so they won’t roll into things plus so big I couldn’t handle halves…im missin bein on the saw everyday
Ten fo. I know about where that is up there. I’ve stomped around up there a little and yessir it’s steep up there in places for sure. I owned a 880 for a while and decided I just didn’t need that much saw lol. I’ve got an old flat top 066 that I keep for hard times. But I run these 460’s 90% of the time these days. Setup with a 25” full skip full chisel is my go to. Ain’t near as heavy and still plenty of giddy up. Especially ported ones. Anyway, good to talk to you. And thank you for sharing your experiences. Thanks for taking time to watch and comment. Take care and do come again, please
I like the camera angles it's like you are there in the woods watching. I do like the GoPro too..when your able to have both that'll be fantastic to me. Do have a question, I know your by yourself a bunch, do you let your wife know where you are at and a check in process? I know you take safety seriously but accidents do happen.ay God keep you safe and bless you and your family.
Hey my friend! Thank you for the feedback. That’ll help for sure. As far as checking in…yessir I do send my wife a gps location and I check in with her by certain times. So if she doesn’t hear from me, then she knows where I am and where to come looking. I also keep my phone on me while I am working also. For two reason…so I could call someone should I need too, and also for gps location to be able to track it/me. Does that make sense? Anyway, hope I answered your question and thanks a bunch for watching and commenting. I surely appreciate it. Take care and do come again, please
Different trees are different of course. Thicker stands of timber, the growth rings in a tree will be tighter together and a growth ring represents one year. Now if it’s thinned out descent, then your grain or growth rings will be further apart in that particular year of growth. But just guessing average…I’d say it’s about 0.13” per year. That’s what foresters say anyway. So a 30” tree would be roughly 230 years old ish. Takes a long time on hardwood growth anyway. 30 year turnaround times on hardwood stands is about right…depending on how you thin. Hope this helps
Thank you sir and yessir I have ear plugs in…thanks for watching and commenting. You’ve been with me since the beginning. Take care buddy and do come again, anytime please
@@zachodom7486 Good. I didn't wear ear plugs or any other protection for years when using my chainsaws and now I have hearing problems. I wouldn't want you to suffer the same.
