After Linkin Park, I saw this and I just loved it immediately. I still love both bands but I've been listening to starset more and its just so good
This song was very enjoyable for me.
Both musicly & lyricly, I'm interested to see what they do on the album.
Also, great reaction and good criticism.
This has a more "classic starset" sound with heavier emphasis on guitar riffs. I like it for sure.
this could easily become my favourite from the new album, the lyrics are so so good - and the music too, obviously. only thing that would have made it even better: I agree, some background screams during that instrumental part. and can we talk about how EPIC the outro is?? it's not included in this version for some reason, but the Spotify version has it
It sounds like they end the song right in the middle of the outro. I don't know if thats going to lead right into the next song on the album or what, but it doesn't feel like it has a natural ending which is kinda weird
But the outro still is pretty sick

I feel that the next songs in the álbum are gonna be more dense in terms of instrumental and maybe the voice because in the last year Dustin improve a Loot!
But i like the song and i'm excited again, great video!
This is 100% my favorite song so far from this album, and might even be my all-time favorite Starset song. The ONLY complaint I had was I felt the chorus could've hit a bit harder, it felt a tad light to me. But beyond that, this song was a masterpiece and has really got me hyped for the album. I honestly was a tad worried with Infected and The Breach-I already knew it was gonna be great, but it felt like it was gonna be a step down overall. But after listening to those in addition to this song, this album really feels like they're going for a mix of Vessels and Divisions. Which would be AWESOME: The intensity and djentiness of Divisions mixed with the atmospheric journey that is Vessels sounds like an incredible combo. Vessels is my all time favorite album, but if they keep going this route, I really think this has potential to beat it out.

I really like their new song, it's very enjoyable for me! I came home a stressful day and that notification on CZcams (it was the premiere) and Instagram and listening to it made my evening even better! 😊❤ Dustin's is beautiful is always and the lyrics are also nice! Cool reaction Kyle! I hope for some heavier songs too, like Telekinetic! Dustin is the king of lyrics!

Great reaction as always kyle, the breakdown element is going to be one of the key difference in this album compared to the other albums for sure and Dustin is expanding his vocals exponentially.

Took me a while to like this album but I got there and is amazing
The breach had to grow on me but the more I listened to it, I dig it.
This one is okay but again feel like I need it to grow on me.
I'm shedded to see Starset in February. I'm really looking forward to see how this songs will turn out live and I'm honestly half excited half worried because I know that he tends to struggle.

Yet again another amazing song from them. However I don't think this song sounds like a return to Transmissions. It's more like the foundation of Divisions with the wonderous sci-fi flair of Vessels. The way the guitar was used for select tracks while the pop sound and orchestral elements in Vessels was the forefront. So with the heavier beat that Divisions used, Horizons seems more like a hybrid to me.

I'M LATE but I agree with you that this one feels better than The Breach. For some reason the music feels more intense and crisper than in the Breach, because I think something about the somewhat muted screaming at the beginning of Breach somewhat ruins the song's intensity for me. Leaving This World Behind lets the instruments do that part and it just feels better to me. I seem to like the songs the most where they choose to go softer with the vocals and then ramp up the intensity a bit later, like with Stratosphere which replaced Halo has my new favorite Starset song.
From a narrative standpoint this one also seems to be better because "The Breach" and "Infected" felt too personalized. Like we were peeking into a message that we didn't have context for. Leaving This World Behind has that more abstract quality that I like about their songs. We might get some misses with this album if Dustin is more concerned with telling the story like with Breach or if the experimental aspects just don't work out but it seems if they can hit it then it'll be worth it.
I hope this album brings in some soft songs too, like how transmissions has telescope, vessels with everglow, and divisions with diving bell. I love the pattern and i hope they continue it.
Honestly i can relate to how you cant attach with the breach. I like the breach, ngl, but theres a song that i cant attach no matter how much i listen to it and thats stratosphere. it just shows how starset, despite having a lot of bangers, isnt a perfect band and i can understand your point.
For me that song is solstice, that "you take take the pain away" 10 times in a row drives me INSANE 😂
You should totally react to Lost Boy and A Blood Soaked Symphony by WhiteChapel. Their new album Kin comes out at the end of October and they have been on fire. Both super killer tracks, but Lost Boy definitely has a video worth reacting to

I'm disappointed that they are going further and further away from the alternative style that they built themselves on, but this is still great music.
The only issue I've had with this album was the small "trap" sections during a few of the songs. Small complaint, but they just struck me weird.

I love that this song was heavier. They need to do more heavy materials...take me back to Transmissions!!! I agree, I did not like the breach too much. It kind of sounded bland to me.
