I come from a Finnish Moon Sisters family from Savonia, I celebrated my Sabbath when I was 11 on the Lammas feast, that day there was the Full Moon and an eclipse, the celebrations lasted 24 hours. Shortly before I had been responsible for the delivery of one of the women, I had been taught the necessary in addition to other knowledge such as plants and divination. We started by bathing in the lake to purify ourselves, we made wreaths of flowers for our heads, the elders taught us other things about plants, they explained to us the meaning of what we were doing and of the place, they made 3 circles of stones, and made a fire in the middle at an equal distance from the forest, the source, the fires of Saint Elmo by the lake, the rocky hill We danced around the fire, jumped over it, stepped on the embers and chanted incantations and took an oath.
In the folklore of Lugh, teaches us the purpose of responsibility and skill and Times of uncertainty hope and fear. In These Times May Lugh protect all of us and give us safety and love to our families and homes. So mote it be. 🍞🌾💛
I'm new to paganism, Lughnasadh is in 6 days and I'm definitely going to celebrate this year. I already have it planned out. Have a blessed Lughnasadh.
