Absolutely Yes ! Will be interesting to see her starting first time
We are going to try to start it in a couple of weeks time after a little investigation work :)
Watching these old videos...yall are pulling stuff back from the rubbish pile. I love the great work you do!!🎉
Просто 🔥🔥🔥 Фашка , у меня была такая в 92 году , очень шикарный автомобиль , подарите ей вторую жизнь эти машины должны жить вечно ❤
I have a 280zx 2+2 in Australia. They're very nice to drive and just starting to increase in value as the 240s/260s become unaffordable. This one is worth keeping.
We are definitely saving it. We are looking forward to getting the engine started
I just bought an '83 2 + 2, T top, 5 speed manual. Seems it was sitting in a garage in NY for the last 10 years awaiting pass side door repair. The subfloor is in a bad state, both frame rails are damaged and rusted out in places. The rockers need work and rear panel is rusted beyond repair too
I thought it was only good for a parts car so I low balled the seller and he surprisingly accepted. The car was in my driveway the next day..gulp!
That was 3 weeks ago!
All tires were pancaked but I wanted to turn the engine over, so hooked up a battery and turned the key. The engine turned ok though I did spray/spoon some WD and a 2 stroke oil combo into the cylinders the day before, but what shocked me was the female voice! What the ???, she warned me the door was open. This was a 'Christine' movie moment, I have decided to drop some coin and bring this machine back to life....by May!
It might be the only thing I own once the wife finds out. :)
Subscribed !
We'll see who crosses the roadworthy line 1st.
Best of luck with your restoration, you will probably beat us as our 180 is in a que of cars for us to restore :)
You guys are geniuses ! Dont let anyone who knows nothing of this business say " You are Good with your Hands " , you probably heard these Dimwits over the years come out with this nonsense ! I used to do all this work years , and i used to get them saying this ! There is the need for some IQ , and a High IQ to do this game properly like i see you fellas here , very professional indeed ! All the best , music is good aswell ... 👍
Following!! In the middle of restoring a Nissan laurel with the same engine albeit less capacity. Love the interior on that zx
Just needed a good thorough wash and it will be brand new again
Subbed, I just got a 1981 280zx I'm going to restore. I'm looking forward to your videos
Thank you very much!
Awesome! Looking forward to this, subscribed.
Thank you!
Finally a car with hardly any rust on it! ...most of it has fallen off, of course but... yeah.
Yes please get it
This is a keeper!
Time for a little magic from Yorkshire car restoration 👍👍👍
Thank you Mick 😊
Wow you are a veritable hero. I have the same car in mexico.
You’ve got a new follower! Good luck 🙏🏼
Thank you!
Crikey i can here it rusting from here what a mission 👍
Haha! It certainly is very very rusty!
Love seeing a classic getting saved man, If i could id save many more. Man so weird my Mum was litterally saying about datsuns the other day!!!
We are the same :) its a long process but we enjoy doing it! Thanks for the feedback.
Haha that's crazy! Much more content on its way! :)
I used to go to school in a 280zx fairlady in the early 80' s nd now I have a z31 fairlady, my photo.
If you have money and time to burn, its a great project. If your restoring for profit, you'll lose so bad. You'll spend way less importing one from the US, even a running/driving/less rusty one, although it'll be LHD and not as much fun or exciting to perform a restoration on for YT. Here, AT 2+2's are at the bottom of the demand list for Z cars and in this condition would be only used for parting out. Either way you have a new subscriber, so cheers on whatever you guys decide on, I'll be watching.
Thank you for subscribing :) we don't do this for the money just the love of classics and keeping them on the road.
Just as Steve mentioned :) we love what we do! For the love of putting another classic back on the road!
Thats gonna take so bringing back . its gonna need a wash for sure
Crazy to think what its used to look like!
WTF.... Having watched the pain incurred with the 260z I will personally contact the men in white coats to come and get you. You will thank me, trust me.
One of the absolute best cars that I have ever owned. 22 years later I still regret selling it.
Hi Barry, yes a beautiful car and we are looking forward to restoring it next :)
Buy this when all done 👍👍😀😃
How much did you pay for this 280zx?
Has this Heap been living under the sea ? 😂
How did a Z with only 38,000 get so neglected? Is there a story with it?
There are many cars in UK that don't get to an average mileage for any number of reasons and sadly just get parked up
It was owned by an old boy who very rarely used it. In 2008 it needed some welding prior to mot, however the work was never done and it sat outside for 12 years.
We will be doing a more in depth video in a couple weeks time on the story of this car
Great job mate by calling a zead x and not zee x and im not being sarcastic
Thank you Eathan :)
@@yorkshirecarrestoration Your welcome!
Bugger me, poor car what a state it is in, needs a LOT of TLC, IF doing it up to sell put a 5spd/man in it Add to the value!! All red interior not inspiring!!
It definitely needs alot of work! Thanks for the advice!
Lots of UK car shows do things like that, but the fact is it will devalue the car, a well restored and origional car will always sell for better money, and the Autobox on these is a delight, I used to drive a friends one, and as a motorcyclists it blew my mind away, it was so smooth and so fat, a real muscle car without the fat
