    It's crazy how good cheap guitar gear is now. You could legit build yourself a pedal board for about $100. I've had some of these minis. The enclosures and durability is good. I have a mini ammoon looper I've stomped all over constantly for 5 years now and it has held up just fine. I really don't like the ones with the ultra tiny knobs though, personally. But that's subjective.

    I really appreciate you doing multiple samples and different settings per pedal. Shows the true versatility of the pedals, something a lot of videos don’t have

    The jam at then on the red pedal was so inspiring. I'm running to go play now!

    I highly recommend Mosky XP Booster. It's not made well as the LED stopped working even though I never stomped on the pedal. It can be noisy too. However it transforms the sound in a great way. Adds some nice low end and boosts the signal which can make the amp bite a bit more. I love what it does. It can be an always on pedal.

    Favriote pedal shop I really hate the stigma of cheap = bad I made a awesome sounding pedal board off Amazon pedals an personally prefer them although there are some bad cheap ones I usually go for 4-5 star with demo video an 25$+ helps not get super bad one

    Great video, SPJ - looks like you had lots of fun with these crap pedals.

    I have the Mosky Silver Horse because it has both Gold AND Silver tones built into it. Pretty impressive to be honest. Even if it only lasts a few years I'm only in for $30, not too expensive to replace. And yeah the tone IS worth it!

    man Sean great video. Keep pushing that ten K. I must ask what pickups are in that Gibson. as soon as you hit that cord with first purple pedal I woke up lol. Great as always

    • @SeanPierceJohnson
      @SeanPierceJohnson  Před rokem

      Haha! Good wake up call. The pickups are Seymour Duncan in he Black & Silver LP: JB & Jazz combo.
      The all black LP w/ the Bigsby is stock Gibsons. I believe it’s the 498t. I don’t know for sure…never felt the need to look.

      Pickups aren’t important.

    I've only bought one pedal on Amazon. It was some sort of cheap distortion pedal with metal written it and all I really remember about it is that the 9v battery would die after literally like ten minutes of playing.

      Hail Elessar, Ruler of the Kingdoms of Gondor & Arnor!
      Personally I am surprised some these are still working. The quality is iffy at best. I think I know exactly the pedal you speak of.

    I have the dumbler, I actually like it. I was surprised but for the price I can’t actually complain about anything.

    I bought some cheap peddles, but they didn't sound as good. I don't use them enough to see if they last. I can see to be careful, if I changed the battery. The wires are tiny with cheap connections. The boxes are all plastic. I think these are better then what I have. The first overdrive is pretty important to my sound. I can say that all the old legendary pedals are time tested and have been used by pros on stage and in the studio. I have a simple Vox ac10 and 2 high quality pedals, strait in. There is no effects loop. You can over process, kill your tone. Your power strip can't keep up, connections are cheesy, your ac adapters have incredibly thin wires. Save a headache. Buy good stuff, and less of it. Do alot of research. Thats my 2 cents.

    The "Donner Morpher" is also the same pedal, a Riot clone.

    are you using a reverb pedal? I love that lasting echo when you were using the looper. sorry for all the questions lol

    • @SeanPierceJohnson
      @SeanPierceJohnson  Před rokem +1

      No worries Ernie! Questions are always welcome. The verb was my Chase Bliss CXM 1978. Yeah, I know…expensive reverb with cheap pedals. But it just worked.
      The echo BTW was the NUX Tape Echo, their upgraded Space Echo-style pedal. There’s a video of it on the channel in case you want to hear more of that.

    Some of em cool and not exactly the same as the real ones mostly. I'd happily support Paul Cochrane and buy a Timmy... if they were ever in stock.

    We've all seen the Music is Win shootout between a real Klon Centaur and the clone, where there wasn't much difference between thentwo.

      @SeanPierceJohnson Same premise. Clones catch a lot of heat, but in the end, I don't see much difference, tone wise with the more prominent budget brands, like Joyo and Caline. I have a Joyo Phaser, which pretty much sounds like it's MXR big brother.

      I could ask you on why you would spend money on a small hobby of yours if no one would care. I'm sure your answer would be something along the lines of "It sounds worth it to me personally/I just enjoy that hobby and I find it worth spending money on"
