Every morning when we were getting ready to go to school my father would play shastri sangeet on all india radio. Panditji kumar gandharv’s voice would echo all through the house mixed smell of agarbatti and smell of spices of mom’s kitchen. I miss that time.

Pure and pious. An honest soul and which was close to The God, could have voice and feeling like this. He was infact a saint . Born in Belagam (karnataka) but spent later part of his life in Dewas, MP (because of suitable weather for his health). Doctors had once said that he won't be able to sing because of his illness but he prooved every one wrong. He has given many such immortal and unforgettable bhajans. We should learn from such great personalities.
Yea.... His name was Shivaputrayya Konkalimath.... Those days are the golden era of music of north Karnataka.
